    I have a similar one but mine is the Bulldog Pad from Sorinex. I love my Bulldog pad and I just use it for chest supported rows. Unfortunately I paid over $600 custom color and paint job but it is wonderful!! Good review btw.

      If I didn’t have the Monster Lite rack, I would have definitely bought the Bulldog Pad from Sorinex. The price was a bit up there but due to the 1 inch holes only, it wasn’t an option for me. Glad you love the pad, I bet that custom color is nice!!

    Great review. I like that you didn't just tell us the dimensions but showed the tape measure as well... I was curious how much space was between the rack and the pad if I were to use it as a seat in the flat position, and your tape measure makes it pretty clear that it's 10 inches

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  5 місяців тому

      Thank you!! Yep, sometimes it’s easier to throw the measurements on screen with the tape measure so it’s just easier to visualize.

    Great review, while i understand that the recommendation is to bolt down your rack before using an attachment like this, I really don't want to drill into my basement. What are your thoughts? Is your rack bolted?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Рік тому +1

      Thank you!! I actually don’t have my rack bolted down but I always make sure I have weight on the back plate storage posts that weight it down a bit. So it’s gonna depend on the rack, your body weight and the added weight you use but for me, it’s very solid. Definitely use your best judgement though!!

    I don't know if you can truly do "seal rows" with this attachment, it's more of a chest supported row attachment, the point of seal rows is to take your legs completely out of the row, with this attachment you'd need to insure your legs be perfectly prone, regardless, apparently my gym just ordered one, so I'm interested to try it, especially for reverse dumbbell flys.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, you’d need to add a plyo-box or some other platform for your feet to make it a true seal row. It’s still a nice attachment for chest supported rows and reverse flys though. Let me know your thoughts when it arrives at your gym.

      That red one is Body-Solid and I found it at Dicks Sporting Goods but you can probably find it online at Fitness Factory or possibly Amazon.

    What specifically was the issue with benching? Do you think it would have worked better for benching if the pad extended down several more inches, or would it have to extend down to your tailbone to make a big improvement in benching?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Рік тому +1

      I felt it in my lower back when benching so it might help w a longer pad but personally it’s not stable enough for me to want to bench heavy. Plus you can’t kick up the weight unless you did one leg at a time and balanced, so unless you can hammer curl the weight your pressing, there are just better options to avoid injury. This of course is my opinion which is why I put out the videos, so everyone can make an informed decision.

    • @bokononisti2820
      @bokononisti2820 Рік тому +1

      @@GoreckiFit Thanks. Yeah, seems easy to overarch lower back without a pad underneath. And good point about getting heavy db's up in the first place.

  • @GameOver321

    How would you rate this vs revolt? Either way I'll need to have it customized to fit my rack

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Рік тому +1

      I haven’t used the revolt one but from what I can see, revolt is a bolt on attachment. BOS is easily adjustable with their design so that was important to me because changing height is nice depending on what exercise. Besides that, they are similar. Depending on what rack you have, the bolt on design might be better since the BOS is specific to upright dimensions such as mine is a true 3x3.
