My psychiatrist helped me through the healing years along with medications successfully: anti anxiety meds, antidepressant meds, antipsychotic meds. I developed dissociative disorders at 8 yrs old . The worst years were the teens. It’s been a long haul but with the right help , a person can have a better life
This UA-cam video discusses dissociative disorders, which involve disruptions to a patient's memory, awareness, identity, or perception. The speaker explains the four main dissociative conditions: depersonalization or derealization disorder, dissociative identity disorder, dissociative amnesia, and dissociative fugue. They mention that these disorders can occur after a stressful event, such as sexual assault. The speaker provides details about each disorder, including symptoms and differences from psychosis. They also note that dissociative identity disorder is more common in women and often associated with childhood trauma and abuse. Treatment for dissociative disorders typically involves therapy, specifically cognitive behavioral and psychotherapy.
@@muhammadowais3676 if you are consciously sitting there, using a keyboard, communicating, using words, and are fully aware of "dissociating' then you're not dissociating. That's literally oxymoronic. How can you dissociate, as you sit there aware, and in the present moment ? ? Have you studied psychology or anything? Surely this is explained in lectures wherever you live, no? ? One cannot be fully aware of themselves, yet be in a state of dissociation. One is usually very aware during depersonalisation and derealisation. But dissociation is the opposite, we are dissociated, we are not in the moment and aware. The person says "i can't focus or think about anything" as they focus on multiple things at once. Im trying really hard not to get frustrated here bc this video has so much misinformation and this comment section needs sapolsky
@@ciaraskeleton i read that dp and dr combined becomes dissociation. i have it and it is really bad and i have problem reading speaking playing processing and doing other things tho.
My sister has diassociative disorder and she also has tiny calcified granuloma in her front optical lobe of brain , she sometimes have outburst of anger due to littelest of things and she gets irritated easily too ! What do these outbursts of anger indicate ? Are they a part of diassociative disorder or its because of her granuloma ?
