Hi, I have a question. Can you control the music downloaded in the Fitbit or from Spotify while you are in the excersice mode (workout, run, weight, bike, treadmill, etc)?

@harold waxman, Hi Harold hope you are doing well. Thanks for watching. There are two ways to track walking. 1) Start walking with watch on your wrist, only stop walking once you are done & make sure to atleast walk for a min & the watch will log the walk itself with metrics like distance, pace, Hr etc. 2) If you want to log your walk with gps data, go on this video at 14:14 pause the video on that paused screen you will see option to log activity; on the next screen you will see option to select run/walk/hike select walk & wait till the GPS is connected/green (gps may not connect indoor/basement) then hit play button and your walk tracking will start. To stop press hold the stop button. Hope this helps.

@@haroldwaxman2624 You can do that, but that is built for run tracking, however if you were to walk; it will still record it as a run but your stats would be way too low for run, hope that makes sense. What I meant for option 1 is : For me I don't have to do any thing to record a walk as far as I am walking continuously for more than 5-10 min fit bit detects it as a walk & records all the data except the GPS. So if you want to track your walk with GPS you do option 2. Fit bit is also smart enough to detect sports as I said in the video but it cannot differentiate between snow shoveling or badminton it just considers it as a sport and logs in the data accordingly which for me is enough.
@Harold Waxman, you will see your stats in the goal section as I have show in this video at 9:03 , you can also see your steps and distance on your watch by swiping down to up on the watchface.

Can you take me step by step to track "walking" and does it have to be using GPS connected?

There are two ways to track walking.
1) Start walking with watch on your wrist, only stop walking once you are done & make sure to atleast walk for a min & the watch will log the walk itself with metrics like distance, pace, Hr etc.
2) If you want to log your walk with gps data, go on this video at 14:14 pause the video on that paused screen you will see option to log activity; on the next screen you will see option to select run/walk/hike select walk & wait till the GPS is connected/green (gps may not connect indoor/basement) then hit play button and your walk tracking will start. To stop press hold the stop button.
