In 2019 we did our 3th roundtrip trough the western states, we did 7 states in 3.5 weeks and fell in love again with your beautifull country! I am a biker but the wife wanted to travel by car and as we say in Belgium "what women wants, God wants..." 😄 Celebrated my birthday in Jackson Hole, did not see the Tetons because of heavy rain and clouds. I retired this year and now dreaming of doing the whole trip of route 66 with a motorcycle. I drive bikes for over 45 years and am a big Honda lover, had a lot of them and they never let me down, now driving the NT1100 DCT, verry good travel bike for Europe! Happy trails and kind regards from Belgium, I subbed to the channel 😍
Nice video. An introduction of who you are and a description of the ride at the beginning of the video would be good additions. Also some commentary along the way about how the bikes were handling the wet roads would help us beginners. Your sound quality is the best of any of the travel videos I’ve seen. Excellent.
We agree with everything you said. Thank you for your input. We want to grow our channel and let everyone experience our adventures with us. Thank you for the compliments as well.
Stumbled upon your video, and what fun! Two new 2022 Honda Goldwings? Wow! What a great ride that must've been. I'm still holding out about 2 more years to see if Honda will upgrade the bike a bit more before buying one myself. Waiting for retirement to hit the road and see America myself! Thanks for posting this video.
Nice guys! Congrats on those two beautiful machines. This past July I purchased the same color Ultra Blue DCT in the airbag model. As you might know, as of this writing at least, this color won’t be produced in 23. So we’ve got a unique color. The trip looks fantastic. Nice job out there Team. Ride safe and often. Any day on two wheels is a great day. ATAGTT.
Hi from South Africa 🇿🇦. Loved your video. any chance of you making a video to show and explain how your helmet is set up? Like to know how you and your partners voice is coming through to the gopro. especially your partners? would love a step to step guide on the connectivity. thank you and safe riding 🙏
We could get pretty close. The seats are quite wide on them, so that makes it a little tougher. But we never had trouble with these bikes. Very easy to ride.
Guys, I love the video the scenery is amazing. Both of the bikes look awesome the colors and the larger windshield too. I ride solo to you have given me a great idea. Instead of purchasing a wing with the tour trunk I can purchase a traveling bag Iike yours. What’s the name of your bag on the luggage rack? Thank you for your Response!!!!
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our video. The bag is a Kuryakyn Momentum Road Warrior. It works beautifully. And comes with a rain fly. We used 4 quick disconnect clips, so it's easy to remove and take into a hotel.
I just got to this video. While it appears that about 98% of it was done in the rain, it still looks like you had a great ride. We've been in the Jackson/Teton areas several times and we much prefer the Tetons over the town of Jackson but that's just a personal preference. If you get around to reading this comment, I have a question for you. May I ask, what helmet comm system were/are you using between you and your bride? It sure sounds really clear and with very little background/wind noise. We may be in the market for new comm systems and I'm presently leaning towards Cardo's because of their advancement in background noise elimination over the Sena units. So, I'd just like to know which unit you're using. Scott
For this ride, we recorded the video with GoPro 10 Black. But we experimented and recorded the audio with separate little Tascam DR-10L digital recorders. And the audio was incredible. The only issue is with post production. With the video and audio being separate files, it can get quite messy. But since this video was made, I have figured out much better ways to align the two. Editing this video took me about 15 hours. Way too long. Very glad you enjoyed the video.
@@foxtailadventures Hey Sir, Much appreciated you getting back to me on this. Just to clarify something though, I was asking about HELMET COMM systems you use, not necessarily the camera and audio you used to record the tip. Although that was good info too. Someday I'll buy another video camera for my trips. I had an old Go Pro from years back and was not all that satisfied with it so, my son has it now. Anyway, if you could tell me what helmet comm system you use, I'd appreciate it. Thanks so much.
@scottraines7419 Oh, sorry. We use Sena 20S Evo headsets. We have had these same units for 5 years. They work great. I replaced the battery in them once recently. So they hold up well. But the actual comms in the video are being recorded on the Tascams. There are 2 small mics in each helmet. Hope this helps.
GoPros on the helmet with chin mounts. Audio recorded on Tascam DR-10L audio recorders. It provides the best quality audio of anything we've ever heard. But it is a lot of work in production..
Beautiful ride! I own a 2019 DCT Tour and the most amazing thing I see in the video is that you're using the Honda Nav. What do you think of the Honda Nav?
It seemed really odd at first. And we didn't know what it was telling us. But then we finally got it. And it worked very nicely. It is a little dated feeling when setting up trips. Kind of surprises me that it wouldn't have a better interface. But all in all, it worked well. We still have more to learn about it. This was our first real trip using it.
Thank you! We use Tascam DR-10L for audio. The quality is excellent. Crisp. Clear. It's more work in production, but worth it. It still amazes me that GoPro made it so difficult to add an external mic. Absolute nonsense.
The bags are awesome! They fit perfectly on the back and have a ton of storage. And we quickly disconnect them and take them into our hotels. They are the Kuryakyn 5284 Momentum Road Warrior motorcycle travel luggage. I don't recall the backrest brand.
I saw your video and looks like you guys are having so much fun. The view is awesome and l like how you’ve your Wing setup. That’s really a nice looking traveling luggage on the back. Since I do ride solo like you I really don’t need a tour model Wing just a nice traveling luggage for long trips.
I happen to live in Eagle, just wondering what dealer you bought your bikes from? I'm thinking of trading my VFR1200 DCT for a GW in the somewhat near future. Nice video BTW, we took a trip to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone last August.
We bought one in Twin Falls and one in Salt Lake. That is a beautiful ride. We are headed to Telluride on our adventure motorcycles next week. Excited to ride the passes. Black Bear Pass looks inviting.

Probably the coolest video I have seen you two. Bike, scenery...you two...all of it. Love it.

Nice, put over 34,000 miles in the first 18 months on my new 6th Gen Goldwing tour. Awesome touring machine.
Love it out there. I road around out there in the 80’s and early 90’s on my motorcycle. Haven’t been out that way in over 20 years.
Hi guys, just found your channel and decided to sub. That was a nice ride even if part of it was in the rain. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for joining our channel! We hope you get a lot of joy and fun from our adventures.

Try it in rain in the rain. 🌧
Question. Can both of you flat foot the bike. I am just curious as to being able to put the foot down. I love the DCT by the way.

We didn't hit any serious rain. And tour mode was mild enough that we had no issues.
