Great video ! This area will be on our list during end of May to mid June...also by motorbike ( HD). Yes my friend has a Gold Wing. It is a very comfortable and reliable bike ( couch) to travel with.. however the real motorcycle rumble I like more.. Cheers from Tim
I am Swiss and I love watching videos about my home country from the perspective of foreigners, especially bike videos 😊 , it really makes me appreciate my home even more. Very nice video, I am happy that you enjoyed this trip, ride safe!
Hey 👋 you are a lucky person to live somewhere so beautiful! It was my first visit to Switzerland 🇨🇭and it definitely won’t be my last.. we had a lovely time .. thank you for looking after it so well
I live in the U.S., but I've been to Europe several times. However, I have yet to make it to Switzerland. It is number one on my list to visit and ride there. My mom was born and raised in Germany, so I'd be starting there. Most of my relatives all live in Germany or Switzerland. Those switchbacks look like so much fun!! If I never make it over there to ride, at least I have the joy of watching your journey shared here on UA-cam. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us!! Ride safe, and ride well!
How interesting! You must find the time to see the amazing roads and landscape, I dreamt of doing it for years . Thank you for your kind words. The video isn’t a masterpiece but it’s a memory I will cherish forever ..
First time to see your channel and very impressed by the quality of filming and with the beautiful flat6 soundtrack. I remember standing nearly underneath the falls in Lauterbrunnen 30 years ago plus a couple of months with my late Girlfriend and it brought back very happy memories. I have been going to Switzerland for 40 years and I still go to stay with friends a couple of times a year and I never get tired of it whether by bike, car or fly into Zurich. It's a wonderful place so enjoy seeking out the best parts.
Hey Richard! Yes it’s a magical place , that was my first time and it definitely won’t be my last .. you have some amazing memories and I’m so happy it brought some back to you !! Here’s to more memories Richard.. all the best
Just did the same with 3 friends on Vespa GTS300’s, rode to Interlaken for the Vespa World Day in June this year, including 5 passes etc. 5 countries in 10 days, fantastic. You don’t need a Goldwing to go touring though any bike (including a GW!) are fantastic!
Yea I watched the Vespa world day ,uk to Switzerland etc on UA-cam and you’re very right it doesn’t matter what you ride big or small.. I do draw the like on push bikes though ! 🤣
I come over from Australia every couple of years, Store my bike in Ireland. Can't get enough of riding through the Alps. Austria and northern Italy are wonderful as well
Well done, the angles, the peaceful music accentuates the scenery and the lack of lots of babbling for me made this enjoyable and informative, its now on the bucket list. The "narration" and unique stops even with the cows in the field and meals gave such a thorough perspective of the trip. Was also pleasantly surprised with the drone footage of the pass "in all its glory" !
Thank you , I don’t think it’s possible to do a bad video of Switzerland, it’s a beautiful place to visit!! I really hope you find the time to visit.. all the best
Very nice tour and I really like your driving style. Most of the foreign people are not used to the mountain roads and have difficulties controlling their bike and staying on their side of the road! Great job - thank you and lots of pleasant rides
Thank you 😊 the roads are so much better than ours in the uk ! It was a delight, it’s always hard getting your head around driving on the other side to what you’re used to but I did ok thank you .. all the best my friend
Well done friends. This is a beautiful video of what seems like a great vacation. I love my Goldwing just as much as you do yours. Please post more. Be safe.
Nice Video, well done. We took our 2002 Goldwing from Bilbao to Puglia and back to U.K. we over did the miles in that super hot weather. My only beef with the GL 1800 is the lack of luggage for 3 weeks away, so we pulled a mono wheel trailer- which handled great but limited motorway progress. This was partly the mway speed limit which, we carefully ignored (potentially at cost 😬) but also because the trailer weaved just 65- 70 mph. You have to hand it to Honda. It’s a great machine.
I think he was referring to your Mrs mate, totally agree with him tho shes lovely. And to be honest really enjoyed the video a great insight I'm definitely going ride safe ❤
Thanks mate !! It was amazing and as you no yourself the pictures never do Switzerland justice! It was nice just to do as we pleased , bit of riding and some chilling!! All your tips and your experience were invaluable and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated you sharing with me 👍the little loop around the passes were the highlight 😊 hope you’re having a fantastic week
What a fabulous video, loved the magnificent scenery, would love to do that ride but I'll just have to stick with New Zealand for now, maybe I could update my Goldwing

Great video. As a fellow "Goldwinger", I especially liked seeing how the bike coped in the mountains. By the way, you do know that you're "punching way above your weight", don't you?
Really nice video. As a fellow Goldwinger (a black one too) I found it great to see Switzerland in all it’s glory. Not somewhere I’ve visited that often but after watching your video who knows. Ride safe.

Hi paul Thks for sharing. What time of the year did you do this and did you find it was ok relative busyness, crowds, busy roads and traffic jams? Thks
It was the start of August when we went and surprisingly the traffic to the ferry and all across France and Switzerland wasn’t bad at all , in fact there was no traffic jams at all .. the place in Switzerland where we stopped wasn’t that busy ether considering time of year and the popularity of the place .. once you’re outside the uk it’s a breeze ..there infrastructure is miles ahead of the U.K.’s
Great to see a Goldwing video from the UK specifically touring with a pillion. Out of interest, do you use the bike quite a bit in the UK as well? How is it in our small B roads for instance? I currently own a GS and I am seriously considering getting a Goldwing for its outstanding pillion comfort and touring ability of course. I also feel that the Goldwing has excellent weather protection and therefore usable over most of our winter months as well.
Hey!! I mainly use it in the uk and it’s been a great bike for city, B roads and anything you throw at it !! I came from a big adventure bike myself.. one of the reasons I got it was for touring and pillion comfort and it’s second to none!! It’s one of the easy bikes to get along with regales of its weight.. I ride around with a wide collective of motorcycles and it fits right in .. I have no complaints about the goldwing! It will do what you want it to and for a long time 👍👍
@@mrts.bike.adventures Many thanks for the response. I am going to test ride one this weekend. Most Goldwing videos on youtube are from the US where they have much wider roads. I quite like the fact that you're actually having fun on your Wing in the UK. Also similar to a GS this is an "opposing"/boxer layout which gives me some confidence that it won't be top heavy at all. Is yours the DCT + Airbag version which is the top spec one I think?
@@mrts.bike.adventuresThe reverse gear is definitely a game changer, I agree. I have owned a Honda Blackbird and ZZR-1400 in the past and trying to move the damn thing backwards even on the gentlest of incline was a total pain. That’s the village of Lauterbrunnen . Arguably one of the prettiest villages in Switzerland 🇨🇭 it’s a lovely place and if you have the opportunity you should definitely visit
Thank you, I found some more videos on it now as well :) Wow , stunning and So majestic. I hope to see this Someday. Thank you and loved the video. I ride touring Harley Ultra classic
You guys need to do "pieces to the camera". Talk about your experiences, let your viewers feel like they're taking part in your adventures. The captions just don't do it. Meant well 🤘
Hi, I am going to Switzerland in Mid August, will have stopover in paris first and later want to go Switzerland for 3 nights please advise about the route to Switzerland?
@@mrts.bike.adventures thanks for urs reply, u went though motorways I, my wife, 3 young children u advise me gud to go through motorways coz somebody said toll charge are too expensive and for return from Switzerland to Dover did u had any night over stop or what did u do to get back to uk?
@@MuhammadTariqKhan-xb1zv it wasn’t expensive and the motorways are some of the best traffic free roads so if you want to get A to B fast they are ideal .. I stopped in champagne (France ) for the night on the way there and then straight to Switzerland 🇨🇭
@@mrts.bike.adventures Brov, infact it’s a last mints plan originally we are on with the plan to go Disneyland paris and around from 12 Aug to 16 Aug but my wife saying as we r gong by car so why don’t we go to Switzerland as from paris it’s v approachable and heard v beautiful, in Aug prices r higher so struggling to look for accommodation, can u advise any place to book there in swiss and how many days u stayed there and what places u looked around there ?
As an American, i remember when they announced they were going to build the tunnel between the UK and France under the English channel. I remember thinking, wow thats pretty crazy. Now all these years later, its really cool to see someone hop on a bike with their girl, cross over in an hour, then cruise through Europe for a couple days. Especially those countries that may have a slightly less restrictive ideas about speed limits lol. Besides the obvious Germany, am i correct in my hearing that Spain and some other countries have some decently high speed limits on their freeways? To me, just bombing at 100+ mph for a day or 2 would be very enjoyable.
It’s fantastically convenient, it’s only 35 mins to cross! A lot of the toll road in France are 140 kph (86mph) Switzerland is a lot different with extreme cash fines on the spot for speeding and then you Germany with no speed limits on the autobahn 🤣
Fantastic adventure!! I cant think of a better motorcycle to make that journey with!

What town is this in the drone video with the church and river flowing through the mountains?
Would love to see this in person 😊
That’s the village of Lauterbrunnen . Arguably one of the prettiest villages in Switzerland 🇨🇭 it’s a lovely place and if you have the opportunity you should definitely visit
Thank you, I found some more videos on it now as well :) Wow , stunning and So majestic. I hope to see this Someday. Thank you and loved the video. I ride touring Harley Ultra classic
@@toddandjensadventures3005 I’ve just traded, the goldwing in for a Harley 👍👍
Nice, what did you get ? Roadglide ?
@@toddandjensadventures3005got the new road glide cvo 👍
Love the video. What kind of drone do you use
Sorry for the late response, I’m using a dji mavic classic
Beautiful!
Thanks 👍
I just love the goldwing ,any bikers tell me how good is for long journeys please fuel and comfort
Fuel is ok about 40mpg 180 mile range , seat is ok but nothing like the older model,
Beautiful 👍
Thanks ☺️
A trip of a lifetime!
Definitely was and hopefully a few more to come
That's livin' the life!
It sure was ! Wish I was still there
I'm in MN USA.
Great ride…but it’s amazing that the DCT has you in 4th gear at 20mph…
Can’t fault the dct ..
Awesome
Hi Nice vlog, could I ask where you stayed in Lauterbrunnen , as usually very expensive with 2+ nights min stay.
Thank you ..We rented a house and it was very expensive, there are a couple of nice campsites that would be a lot cheaper
Cracking video that. Thank you. 👌
Thank you so much , glad you liked it 👍👍👍
You guys need to do "pieces to the camera". Talk about your experiences, let your viewers feel like they're taking part in your adventures. The captions just don't do it. Meant well 🤘
You’re very right ! It’s just never planned filming if you get me , do need to talk more .. all the best 👍👍
What hotel in France did you stay at in champagne
the Armes de Champagne Hotel de Charme.. it was a beautiful place with amazing food and the location was really nice to
Swing pool? Care to elaborate?😂 close caption missed that one
Hahahah I missed that one !! There’s so many spelling mistakes some worse than others 🤣🤣🤣
you are blessed by God !!
Perfect

Hi, I am going to Switzerland in Mid August, will have stopover in paris first and later want to go Switzerland for 3 nights please advise about the route to Switzerland?
@@MuhammadTariqKhan-xb1zv I just followed google maps and went the fastest route down the tolls .. have a great trip

Epic!!!
👍👍👍
👍👍
speechless
I like the girl
is it hard on the sharp curves?
Not at all , one of the best balanced bikes on the road , it was easy two up and never a problem
Nice video ❤
Thank you 😊
Mit vertonung wäre schöööner....
Wow.
Bike, Switzerland or the girl?
I had no chance. I had to click.
🤣
WOW Was für Berge.
@@Klacku tolle Landschaft! du musst besuchen
Bro what is going on with your captions?
@@aluisious in lighten me , what’s your problem with my captions ? And then will have a chat about your videos
Fahre zwar selber eine K1600, aber die Goldwing ist nochmal eine andere Liga! - Aber eben auch finanziell!
K1600 is better in many ways , such a fast touring machine
@@mrts.bike.adventures Maybe not in many ways, but the engine is brutal!
edit: Brutal enough for accelerating 340kg!
@@mr.allnut650 my friend who I rode with had a lovely K1600 and would leave me in the dust
@@mrts.bike.adventures Never mind! Personally I'm not ambitious to leave someone in the dust!
I would have payed money to watch a GoldWing swim across the channel.
