- Mark & Simon take a hike up to Aberedw Hill in Powys Mid Wales, and setup camp amongst the snow in bitterly cold conditions. temperatures got down to -3 overnight but it was lovely and warm in our down sleeping bags ;-)

Guys camping in the snow and subzero conditions brings a new element to the video. I think it's the contrast in colours. Some great photography on display.
It's a bugger when one has to get out of a cosy warm sleeping bag into the cold.
Losing a pet is as bad as losing a member of the the family, the pain is awful. I've never understood within evolution why dogs life expectancy is so short, when other mammals live that much longer. I feel your pain Simon but Oscar will never be forgotten and always in your thoughts.

Cheers Taff, you are right some great colours the sunrise was quite surprising as we weren’t expecting it but it was an awesome sight.
Oscar was a lovely dog and it takes a while to get over it they are a part of the family.

Top work fellas. You're right, cameras never do sunsets and sunrises justice but you did a great job of capturing it. They stay with you days like those. There's also something about an orange tent glowed up against the snow, think it looked amazing! Oscar sounded like amazing dog and I'm sure he was there with you on that trip, making sure you got the sunrise you did. Great work fellas, I look forward to the next one. ATB. Martin.

What an awesome camp and sunrise guys, you certainly picked a great night to be out. I was in the Brecon Beacons on the Sunday and was glad that the snow was still there. Very sorry to hear about Oscar, you made a moving tribute to him.

Hi fella’s. I knew before even watching that it would look amazing and sure enough it was breathtaking from start to finish. A beautiful but sad account of the passing of Oscar Simon… I had a springer spaniel when I lived in Wales and they’re wonderful dogs so I feel you’re pain. Thanks Dave, it was a great day/night out it just goes so quick very enjoyable in the snow, we didn’t want to go home lol 😫😫 the sunrise and tent pics looked good - wasn’t expecting that sunrise tbh but glad we got one, got loads of stuff coming up camping wise including 5 days in Switzerland doing a couple of sections of the Via Alpina Pass, we need to get fit first 😁👌👍

It's lovely on the quieter routes isn't it. I parked up by Fan Llia then went to fan frynach but it was a bit windy and I opted for comfort so pitched up in the valley by Craig Cerrig Gleisiad which was beautiful.
Got stuck in the car park though with all the snow and was on my hands and knees trying to dig a path with my boys beach spade until a farmer came and gave me a tow!
All fun though! Here's to more snow soon :-)

love the access 1 tent, if your struggling with the gopro batteries try a hand warmer in a small drybag they usually keep them jsut warm enough for 24 - 48 hours :D new subscriber here

Great video. How does the Access 1 compare to your other tents?
Cheers Chris 👍 we both wanted a 1 man tent with decent head height, lightweight a decent size vestibule and enough space in the inner tent , the Access 1 ticks all the boxes for us and the quality of the tent is superior to the Scarp 1 so well happy with it 👌👍
Hi Chris thanks for watching the video 👍 we think the access 1 is a great size and well made 1 person. Probably better quality than the scarp 1 we used to have but we haven’t tested these tents in all conditions yet but so far so good 👍 yeah we really like the space and the height of them, very practical. How were the Nordisk in the cold Simon? Where they warm?
