They took me through the doors you exited to the upper level and I went down to the platform and crossed the tracks to the opposite side where I found the terminal. I think there were MTA workers down there too. It’s strange being on the tracks when trains are passing the switch going to the upper level.

That rail carries 600 volts, DC current, and it can be deadly if a person comes in contact with it.

It looks like it has a protective cover, but still dangerous. If you're very careful, you can avoid hitting it.
