Love it. Very simple. Easy to make for momshie like me. I'll try it for my kiddos. Thank you for sharing
You used an unsafe mount of curing salt! You should have used 1/2 teaspoon not 2 teaspoons.
1 teaspoon (6g) per 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of meat, will give you the recommended .25% / 156PPM of nitrites
There is too much cure. For 1kg meat, add 1/2 teaspoon or (about 3 g) of cure #1 [Prague #1, pink salt #1, Instacure #1, etc.(which is 6.25% sodium nitrite / 93.75% salt]. Most bacon is already cured so no additional cure is needed for it.
For those who asked: the curing salt is optional, but it is not optional. In the SPAM recipes where the farce is getting cooked soon after it is made, the cure is added for flavor and color. It would not be the same product without it.
So yummy thanks for sharing this video my friend.
Very nicely done. Perfectly prepared home made spam. I've watched several videos on how to make this and yours is less salt which I like. Well done! 👍 😊
Legend, I will throw it on a freshly baked bread with some homemade pickles very soon. Thanks.

That is amazing!! How did you get it to cure that fast??
After you pull it out of the oven you re cover and put something heavy on it then stick it in the fridge overnight
The video says 1kilo pork but in the description it is 1/2. Whic is correct?
Does it have to have curing salt?
What is the use of curing salt if you didn’t cure the meat ?
can I use beef meat???
Hey! Is there a way I can contact with you? I have a survival product and carious if I can use this in my videos. Thanks!
what is substitute for curing salt
curing salt is used to prevent botulism and randicity as well as retaining the color of the meat. but if you'll eat your spam right away, plain salt will do. hope this helps. Thank you and stay safe!
sa south supermaket ka bumili ng pink salt, meron dun sa meat section
what spirulina
En español yo quiero la receta porfavor
Can I use Celery Salt instead of Curing Salt? If yes, what is the equivalent measurement? Thanks.
Jennifer Almaden haven't tried celery salt in my cooking😂 i suggest plain salt is better unless you like the flavor of celery, there's no harm in trying then, tell me how it goes. Happy Cooking! Thanks!
Celery seed is natural sodium nitrite. And if you added 2 teaspoons of nitrite, you over did it. If Tenderquick then you are ok.
Can we skip the bacon and do this with just pork?
that music...grrrr
I want to make the halal version of spam called, spicken. Spam stands for something ham and got mushed together.
2 tbsp of curing salt or 2 tsp lang? Sa video kasi tsp then sa description box is tbsp.
yes it's in tsp, i already edited, thank you for this!
Thanks po.
@@krunerry8002 2 tsps( teaspoons),yes.
para san po ang minced bacon? added flavor po? kasi sa ibang tutorial po wala sa kanilang bacon eh. or added chuncks lang po para may chuncks pag hiniwa before e fry?
Prince Ray Casera for added flavor lang para mas kalasa ng spam you are free to omit the bacon😍
Gumawa po ako nito pero parang slimy hahahah ano pong mali? Thank you
i made mine na medio malamig ung meat pero hindi frozen
doesnt smell like spam
Is Spam so hard to get and expensive that you need to make it from scratch?
There is no cornstarch in SPAM. Original SPAM didn’t even have potato starch.
If you look on a can of spam now, there's potato starch in it
Yup, bummer… That means they lowered the fat content back in the mid 90’s. .
@@IngaHicks Yeah, they said original Spam didn't. That was 50 years ago.
You dumped out all of the good stuff 🤦🏼
Thanks
