Likely why they got removed, they just sound too out of character (in the context of Akechis character before the end of Saes palace). Hell some of them even sound like they’re SUPPOSED to be Darkechi lines, like at 1:20.

The venom dripping from Akechi's words is surprisingly more noticeable in the Princekechi nav lines. He's trying SOOOOO hard to not kill Joker where he stands every time he f***s up.

I think its hilarious that he clearly likes joker way more in the lines where he's also cackling like a supervillain and gleefully reducing shadows to ashen smears on the floor. His detective prince disguise reads like a barely contained boiling kettle of rage, where you can tell he really really hates everyone around him and the fact he can't just do this himself the way he wants lmao

No wonder people say it's a crime he wasn't a navigator for longer.
This was such a missed opportunity to put out DLC for Akechi to swap out for Morgana/Futaba a few months after Royal's release. I honestly wouldn't have minded switching Futaba out for him during/after Sai's palace. Hell, they could have made it NG+ only if they really wanted to keep things "authentic" during a first playthrough.
Better than just having outfits as dlc (especially the ones for "kasumi")
They probably didn’t because they’d be including a HUGE spoiler right on the page where you buy the game.

It’s more like an hour, but yeah, it’s quite short. A bit of a shame, but if it lasted longer it wouldn’t be as special.
This is why I wish NG+ let you use all the party members from the start. Obviously it would conflict with the cutscenes but if you're doing New Game+ you're not playing for the story anyway.
Or change your Navi.
That was the first time I was sad for getting new party members (apart from getting Akechi after replaying P5, it hurt me too much to see him die again :-;).

Always Wondered Why Akechi seemed less hateful of her than the others. Though She never was a true Phantom thief and actually Agreed with Akechi on not approving of their methods, So maybe he just liked her because they shared common ground.

Starting at 9:36; all of Akechi's lines for Joker getting downed are astoundingly solid voicework to me. The way his voice trembles in almost all of them before he (usually) forces himself to be composed again. They all convey a mixture of anger, frustration, bewilderment, and concern that's hidden in various degrees throughout. It's particularly amazing how Joker going down/dying is handled (9:41). The "What are you...?!" is super strained, but it's very quiet, and usually gets drowned out almost entirely by in-game noise. ...And it is immediately followed by Akechi telling Joker to get up in a very commanding voice. The annoyance behind it is very real, but also partially forced because he's using it to cover up his worry. Those two lines almost don't sound like they belong together, but they do.
It's just amazing how easily you can tell every single thing about their relationship, and Akechi, from these lines alone. The fact that Akechi seems even shocked and almost betrayed at the prospect of Joker going down tells you about their rivalry, but there's more to it, as well. The way the lines are scripted to showcase that he tends to follow up any display of "weakness" with anger really helps really hammer in the point that while he worries about this person beyond their rivalry just as much as he wants to fight them; he himself is conflicted about it, like he doesn't know how to display it, much less want to.

1. I hate how short compared to other navs we got akechi for
2. Because navkechi was a favorite of mine, Atlus should let us choose navs in future main persona games when we get more than one
3. If Atlus does let us choose, perhaps dlc of previous navs (not sure how that will work tho)
I like the idea of the current game's navigator adopting catchphrases from previous navigators when wearing their game's outfits. Imagine Futaba wearing a SEES uniform and saying: GASP! The enemy...!
Literally though! I would trade off hearing Morgana or Futaba for navkechi any day.
Navkechi was definitely way more funnier than the other Navs, should’ve just kept Futaba’s buffs and then let us choose which one to say the lines

@ball.3841 I mean canonically all the navigators are specifically people with extensive knowledge of the metaverse. Morgana was a cognition being basically made out of the metaverse. Futaba's Persona basically gave her a vantage point to see everything. Akechi is arguably the one with the mext experience in the metaverse.

Akechi being the Navigator was one of Royal best surprises the fact that he came back in his true appearance with Loki that was so fire the first time I played I wish I could wipe my memory to play the game again as my first time couldnt stop crying when Our Light started playing after realizing all Akechi did and he became one of my favorite Persona 5 characters ever

Akechi has barely experienced true human kindness. He grew up in a world in which he needed to sacrifice everything, even his humanity, to ‘win’. Yes, there were people at the orphanages that took care of him, but would that replace the love of his dead mother or useless father? No. Would he feel any less alone? No. In a world like this, Akechi views basic kindness as always being fake, and usually with a certain ulterior motive. The use of “falls for” and “pretend” regarding such instances is proof of that. He doesn’t have the ‘luxury’ of viewing human kindness as something to just be expected.
Split personality? No. Contradictory thoughts? Hell yes.
