I'm a residential plumber and I would only recommend those hole saws for thin fiberglass or metal. For someone cutting wood I would recommend the Milwaukee hole hawg bits, those bits eat 2x4s with ease
I work in the tracs and I'm a piece worker you need both because sometimes when you need to make your hole and half way threw you find there's a nail and you can get the nail out but sometimes it's a very difficult spot and you'll possibly spend 30 min trying to take out and will be frustrated after so if you switch over to the hole saw and take it out easily and back to work make making money
Electrician here, for panel and trunking work the hole dozers are so good I've started replacing my starrett with them as the starrett burn out.
Do limited wood so I stick to cheap flat bits if I'm unsure of the wood and Irwin selffeeds if clean wood
On a side note I've the 14-30mm fixtec arbour, they really needs make one of these for 30mm+ as it's a huge time saver

@@ToddGT3 I'll be honest, I dont use ally much. We tend to gland into steel trunk, then slot between trunk and board with paxolin as grommet. Dont do many singles, all 4 core SWA so no Eddie currents to worry about
My 2018/19 kit that sized up to 1" ate through four studs easy 🤷
This kit is larger sizing, no experience yet. Given Milwaukee's screw ups recently I hope the larger sized kit I got today lives up. Yet, $15 for 4 ain't bad. Fvckers used to be $17 apiece lol.

Awesome deal...but couple years ago i got the 20 piece bi metal kit that retails roughly $119 i got it on sale for $79.. everyone i work with says u didnt need that many.. but if i ever need some of those sizes i have them...
I'm not a Milwaukee guy but do have their hole dozers and I love em! I am gonna try to get this kit and see if my 13 piece kit fits in together.
I know this is a year old, but just bought this hole kit for $15 HD. Back in 2018/19 bought a different 7 piece; they used the adapter 'trick ' then too. Four years still strong, adapter and arbor still solid. My preexisting kit was the smaller sizes whilst this was the larger sizes. Woo hoo!
I called 2 local depots and neither one had them. I found it on the website for $74.99. I called them to see if they would match the price I saw on your live and they said yes. You order it and then you call them with order number and they issue a credit for the difference. Thank you for showing me the great deal.

I bought that hole saw set in the Packout box at Christmas for $54. I thought that was a great price. But this new deal really is a bargin because we can never get enough Packout boxes.
Got one yesterday but I had to ask the HD manager to help find it (it was up on a shelf top with "no home"). Thanks VCG!

I pick up a 13 piece hole saw kit for 40 dollars, just didn't have the pack out kit. Last month ago. Haven't used it yet, but know it will work on whatever I need it for. You have to scoop on the deals on the holidays.
Hey I’m about a month into tearing down and putting together portables for schools we put in lag bolts that are huge I believe they are about 6 inches long and have a head that a 15/16 socket fits it what size impact tench should I buy from Milwaukee
Are the saws in that $34 kit the sizes needed to install a standard door knob? If that’s the case I’m picking one up if I can find it.

I just cut in about 30 hi hats with the 6" Dozer hole saw, on a Gen 3 M18 Hammer Drill/Driver...yeah, Sh*t is NO JOKE....GO TEAM RED!
To stop the arbour from bottoming out and tightening against the the whole saw, I just wrap a piece of copper wire around the top of the arbour threads , I found that 14 gauge from standard electrical wire works perfect.

Can confirm that the Carbide tipped hole saw does kick ass. I do HVAC and I buzz 4-1/4” holes through hardi-plank siding and it’s still going strong (roughly after one year)
Is that to put in dryer vents
Dryer vents, bathroom fan penetrations, running multiple line sets through a single penetration for a mini-split system, whatever I need it for😂

I’m a locksmith, the adjustable hole saw case is a great idea. Normally the hole saw cases don’t fit the sizes I need. I would get this for the cases alone.
The hole saw case is nice but a little flimsy but looks like it would hold up fine if it lives in the pack out box also. Also my Lenox hole saws are a little longer than Milwaukee still fit in the case

I got it and used foam for my oscillating tool to fill in the packout. Worth 40 bucks!
I got one las summer and put my laser in the other half. I wanted my laser in a packout so even though I had the previous hole dozer Packout kit set in styrofoam

Also hey hold the two half’s together of the modular homes we use a big 1/2 m18 impact wrench but it’s super heavy and I’m only a month in still gaining muscle to lug that shit around all day is there something smaller that can put out the same power
Ive used them for years i dont have too many complaints with it. For 2 bys i prefer their self feed forstner bits

Got the packout with the small hole dozer set for 40 bucks yesterday and I also got the 13 pieace hole dozer set for 40 as well. Both worth it at that price brotha. On sale it's all worth it 😆👍 happy camper.

So they let me build the kit and sold it to me for $34. These guys are FIRST CLASS (just like VCG construction!) And just as an added bonus I got to keep the part organizer trays too.

They should make kit for electrician or plumbing pipe like 1” pipe sizes to 2-1/2 pipe
Or make a wafer hole saw kit. Said 4 “ wafer light hole saw cuts is 4” and 4 -1/8” a 4-1/4 inch 4-5/8” and 4-7/8 inch are all bits I used for 4 inch wafer light
Make a kit for 6” wafer
Make a kit for 5 “ wafer light
And make a kit for 4”
I be more inclined to buy it if for wafer lights

It will be like $74. Buy it and them immediately call the customer service number listed on the website. Give them your oder number and they will issue a credit for the difference. I did it last week and it works.
My HD shows the $74 price online, however, the store shows them for 39.88 (W.Jordan, UT) upon scanning. Also, they were hidden on a shelf in the “No Home” aisle.

I’ve been buying the Diablo hole saws, they are nice and deep for drilling through 2x4’s and such. But the quik chuck are cheap AF, I’ve broken 5 in the past year and a half.
At my local HD the kit is still $74. I will keep my eye open for it to go on sale

I've attempted to have several stores in Ohio price match other local stores and every single time they tell me to kick rocks. It seems that HD's "price match guarantee" really just comes down to how ethical the manager is at that particular store. And in my experience, that happens to be exactly 0% of the time.

Home Depot doesn’t even stock the Milwaukee carbide teeth hole saws in their Emeryville, CA store. I think I heard them say that store does more business than any Home Depot store in the United States so it sounds like you got misinformation. Why would Milwaukee discount the non carbide model to make room for the carbide model HD does not carry in their stores?

2 1/8" is common for door locksets. This set tops at 2" even.
Searched up the product numbers... These items do not come up . And the only thing available in my area I guess is the smaller pack the hole saws come in. The big pack out box isn't part of the deal anywhere I can find
