Love how every frame is intentionally decided on.
Here’s my opinion, use it or ignore it. The first clip is very dark and doesn’t seem indicative of the feel of the whole reel. The succeeding shots are much more visually striking. Especially the shot of your fiancé in the window.
I recommend starting with the wide of that farming sequence (that is used later) then go to the CU then Med. Wrap that whole scene together and continue on to the next project. I don’t see the value in revisiting the same project multiple times through a short reel. Makes me feel like you’re trying to fill space up and you don’t work enough.
Also, it makes more sense for the person hiring you to see the full sequence in action, side by side rather than separated. They learn that you understand cohesive coverage as a DP.
The genres are a bit wide. Maybe focus on the one that you like most and reduce the others. It’s so hard to mesh narrative, corporate and doc.
And then nitpicking,, slide the end title up a tad so it doesn’t touch the book.
Congrats on making a reel, man. I think you should make some good connections with this one!

@@davidmorefield this feedback is all awesome, and the pure amount of it is great as well, the time you put into supporting people is so cool - definitely will put these into practice when I get a chance to sit back down with the reel, I’m always appreciative of other professional opinions.
      Thanks man, i appreciate you!
