The Shield has served me excellent as my EDC for so many years. The M2.0 series are outstanding as well. The M2.0 5 inch FDE brought me back to the S&W M&P.
As an instructor I don't recommend a brand or revolver or auto I carry a Sig p365 9mm XL or an M&P shield 380 EZ in summer and either of those two or a M&P 9c. I also have the Smith M&P 9mm 2.0 (full size) and can use the 17 round mags in the 9c. I recommend researching what pistol your considering and going on UA-cam and enter the the name of the firearm then enter problems. You'll get pages of problems others have experienced. (choose the one fewest problems)
Great video, and I truly prefer Smith and Wesson over many manufacturers. With that said, how come you didn’t mention the bodyguard 380?! It is a phenomenal carry pistol I’ve carried it for over 8-10 years now. It’s small, light.. Very accurate in 0-40 foot range! It definitely will take care of any situation. I think that should been in this video IMO. Thanks
I liked the Shield EZ I tried, but that grip safety was a deal-breaker. My hands were way too small to exert enough force for the firearm to fire, unless I gripped it incorrectly. That hurt my wrist enough I learned that that gun just wasn't an option, no matter how easy it was to rack...
Have to tell you my new shield plus defective right out of box, 12 weeks to get from S&W back from warranty repair. Sold it for big loss I will never trust S&W. If your life depends on it get a Glock or a CZ or Beretta, all better in function, design and quality.

One of my favorite CCW brands. Never heard of Ken Scott but did like his short descriptions.
Absolutely love this new series that you guys are doing. Very informative and very effective. I have 3 M&P’s and love every one of them.
I always loved the M&P series of pistols. Hoping the come out with a Shield size that holds 10-12 rounds.
dude great video, short, sweet to the point smith & wesson has some great people making videos
Great informational video. Thank you!

The mag well on the shield makes it not as concealable sometimes.
The subcompact reminds me of Glock 26.

Surprised he didn't mention the two full-size options! He's got the 5" in another video.
Great info....what model is the man, so i can place an order?
LOL!
Don't they make the BG-380 anymore?
It’s still available and a top seller!
That's a big ring, is it a military academy ring?
Free Mason! LOL!
No BodyGuard?
Exactly!
But the trigger
@@upnorthvlogs Its not a target shooting gun, its a get the heck off me gun. I like Smiths and the bodyguard is a true pocket pistol.
Just one observation: a colleague's husband bought her a BG .38. It has fierce recoil; she never shoots it. She'd benefit from the BG .380.
I had one
It couldn't even shoot a rat dead
