Welcome to the video series "WW2 Bunker Build" here on the WWII History & Reenacting UA-cam channel. This is a very interesting, educational and fun project. We are building a typical German wooden bunker from the second world war using original drawings and correct materials. This particular construction is not supposed to be under ground, but was a special type used in marsh lands or areas with shallow bedrock - typical for Finland etc. Follow us as we put in the hard work, and watch the build from start to finish - link to the complete playlist below.

Welcome to the "WWII History & Reenacting" UA-cam channel!
The main focus of this channel is primarily military history, mainly within the second world war (WW2) timeframe. The channel features various content, such as videos on metal detecting, magnet fishing, exploring and visiting historical sites, collecting militaria, reenactment, restoration etc. I'm a WW2 reenactor/living history enthusiast and many of my videos feature tutorials, kit reviews, reenactment footage and information about the hobby. I mainly portray the German side within the timeframe. Collecting militaria is a huge part of my life. Unboxing videos, collectible presentations, and collecting tips, as well as metal detecting and relic hunting are also typical videos on the channel.
This channel is strictly non-political and my videos are meant to be fun, educational, and informative
Enjoy!

Back breaking. But going to be well worth it In the end.
Thank you! 😊 Yes - I sure hope so! 😊
Love the Stihl advertisement. :) Thanks for the video.
Thank you! 😊 Should be sponsored by Stihl by now 😅😎
Absolutely. Very interesting bunker construction actually- was it typicall only to the arctic/ polar region in Scandinavia? Because in the region I live (in 1944.-45. there was so called Courland pocket)- most bunkers are dug in the ground. @@ww2historyandreenacting
@@karamelles98 My understanding is that this type of bunker was intended for places where ground conditions would not allow for bunkers to be dug down in the ground- like near/in bogs (with shallow ground water) and areas with shallow bedrock. In Finland/Karelia at least, the ground situation was in many areas generally badly suited for regular underground bunkers - at least in the area where the original unit we portray were fighting. The terrain is somewhat identical in certain areas witch is pretty cool. 😊
Really got your back into this one, great to see!
Thank you so much! 😊😊😊
Fast fertig 😊👌🏻

Great, we love these build videos, so interesting to watch 👍
Thank you so much Sir! 😊
Fantastic job!
Thank you! 😊
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Great stuff as usual 😊
Thank you! 😊😊😊
It's really getting there. Cant wait to see it finished (hopefully soon). But i have some questions, how will you make the door that is if you are making one? Also, is there any form of shutter that closes the machine gun port?
Thank you so much and likewise for taking the time to leave a comment! 😊 I'm glad you asked 👍 We will build the details like the door based on the original manual. For the door we will mill up some lumber (bords) and use some basic door hinges - and we will probably make the door insulated with sawdust or newspaper. The machine gun port will have a shutter yes 👍😊 Thanks for watching, best regards from Norway 😊
You seriously should try to get a pulley system, you could tear out your back and have serious injuries back there
We should have done that from the beginning 😅 But we should definitely put something together for the roof build, as there are quite a lot of logs going up!
AWESOME DUDE!
Thank you! 😊
I couldn’t imagine how they did it with hand tools it must have been a pain
Yes! Imagine having battle fatigue and everything else on top of it! 😮 That's one of the things I love about this hobby of living history. It gives you a sense of how it was (up to a point of course) in terms of practical things from equipment to building fortifications - and It really gives you that upper edge of insight when studying the real history. Thanks for watching! 😊
Did you see my left comment about the spice holder for the field kitchen in your last fieldpost episode
No 😮 I will have a look - must have missed it!
I don`t know how hard they are to find or if you have one but thought of you when I saw it@@ww2historyandreenacting
It was unable to find the comment 🤔 Thanks for thinking of me! 🙂🙂
how did the soldiers did this in ww2 ??? it looks so hard even with the chainsaw
Some units did have chainsaws, but they were not Handy little things like we have today 😅 But for the most part it was the axe and saw that were the tools used. It's hard to imagine how it really must have been like for them! Thanks for watching 😊
Ok a buddy hurry up we are almost at Germany!
Where is robin
He is there 😅
Curious, would these be dug into the ground in ww2? Or are they above ground?
your opinion on plw hisory ?
I think they put out a lot of good content 😊👍
veldig bra video, men når tror du det er ferdig? 🙂
Tusen takk for det! Det blir nok mest sannsynlig ikke før utpå nyåret da vinteren kom tidlig i år - vi får se... men det begynner jo å nærme seg nå da! 😊

Is there going to be any metal detecting videos in the future? I seen you found a Patronenkasten with Oil and Petroleum kastens and 2 asbestos barrel pads, absolutely amazing find and amazing condition.
Yes, I have many both magnet fishing and metal detecting videos filmed - just need to edit them 😊 Thank you - yes I was very lucky with that find! 😎 Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴
@ww2historyandreenacting To be Honest with you, my jaw dropped when I seen you open the box! I have 2 similar oil and petroleum canisters. But the 2 barrel changing pads were absolutely astonishing. Can't wait for the videos to be uploaded! Keep up the amazing work 👍
@@okandmanniska1183 Thank you! 😎 Yes - It was a very good day, and I can assure you that I was just as surprised when I opened the box as you 😅 I have found more MG stuff as well and cant wait to share those finds! Thank you so much for watching! 😊 Best regards from Norway!
