I could listen to isolated bass tracks by Lemmy all day, every day, for the rest of my life and never grow tired. Doesn’t matter what era or which band… Hawkwind, Motörhead, or Motordamned.
I don't think anyone can make their bass sound as sleezy and nasty has Lemmy. Fantastic, truly one of a kind. The Damned were such class. What a great band.
Love the Damned and Lemmy but hadn't heard this cover till now. TBH, when that Lemmy energy kicked in at the beginning, I anticipated and hoped he'd be the one singing. Gotta say I think it would've been a better cover that way.
Isn't this Algy Ward on bass? I don't think this is Lemmy at all... Algy was a phenomenal player and his later band TANK, after he left the Damned, is amazing.
It’s not only a cover, but it’s also a piss-take. You either get it or you don’t. Obviously you don’t, so move along. No shortage of “serious” covers of this ever so ‘serious’ song. Perhaps the Krokus version is more your speed.
Lemmy's Bass is astounding
RIP Lemmy and Algy 😢

John Entwistle did it first
@@pilummurialis6490 Did what first? Die first? Sorry don't the get comparison.
@@brentmcintyre5529 Lemmy cited Entwistle as a big influence. Lemmy took his treble influenced sound from him.
@@cerievans1734And Paul Gray plays in a very similar style, and is equally influenced by Entwhistle.
@@Shikta-poobah67 and he also likes his bass louder than everyone else on stage 👎👎
The unstoppable mash-up that was Motordamned! Fucking awesome!
such an unmistakable bass line… we still miss you, Lemmy!
Best album from the best line up with the best title !
Saw Lemmy play with them on Christmas eve about 1980 greyhound Fulham 💪
The famed Machine Gun Etiquette sessions. They recorded stuff like with the Clash, also.
I know it's only rock n roll but i like it
Awesome cover
I remember seeing the Doomed playing this one back in the day and it was rewritten with the title Great Big Tits 🤣🤣

Très bonne conversation!
Bolo S.K. = Bolo from the Subterranean Kids?
😍
Why isn't this on Spotify?
The Damned and Lenny play song like it should be played, I don't dislike the Sweet but this version is better.
No, it isnt
@@sen5i yes it is!!

Is Lemmy or Algy Ward playing the bass here?

WAY BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
A great version but not better. No.

The original was much better
It's a cover, baby...
@@SUBTERRANEANKIDS ...and a bad one.

The original was 'different'. End of.
