Im just trying Kan nyao durian the meat its thick, Creamy, the Bitter was just about right and i love the Kan nyao, its planted in Malaysia. Kan nyao was my 1st choices for now!
Idk why ppl say musang king (mao sang wang) or monthong (golden pillow) is the best. I tried both and MSW is bitter asF while Monthong is a bit rigid not custardy. Kan Yao has literally the best properties - most sweet, most custardy/buttery, NO BITTER. It costs 250+Bhat/100g compared to the other varieties like monthong which is only 120-150+Bhat/100g. Kan Yao is definitely the new undisputed King #1
The one you tried definitely not the recorded price Ganyao durian from the limited old farm in Nonthaburi locate on the Chaopraya river bank, not far from Bangkok. Those expensive Ganyao durian are from Nonthaburi only, very very difficult to find, you need to go to the specific farm in Nonthaburi for booking durian in advance. The one you get absolutely were the normal Ganyao durian sold in Thai market, those were from other part of the country. In Thai market the normal Ganyao durain are still more expensive than Monthong variety. For Thai prople we consider Nonthaburi Ganyao are the best of all Thai Ganyao durian due to its taste and limited amount.
Kanyao is also scatteredly planted in several Malaysian states especially Penang, Pahang & Johor. if u haven't, then u should try tree-dropped Kanyao from Balik Pulau, Penang. an old tree Kanyao for me is just as good as some premium durians out there. tree-dropped Kanyao planted in Thailand should be equally good too.

Dusun ayah aku ada satu pohon tangkai pjg. Tapi rasa kurang warna tak menarik. Area bukit gantang, near RNR BUKIT GANTANG. TO SOUTH.
It is expensive only to plant in Nonthaburi and foreigners and most Thai people do not have a chance. It was booked over a year.
Totally agree, I remember trying Ganyao dirian at Nonthabuni market when I was young, 40 years ago!!!

My D2 is orange flesh.
$8 - $12 for kan yao durian from somebody who sells durian for business, that's such a clown statement.
Kan Yao is the " great grandpa " of the famous Orchee durian.
Durian kanyao is the most expensive and delicious. In Nonthaburi Thailand.
