They don't understand that the traffic on EDSA, at least during rush hour, is primarily due to the volume. And that to reduce that traffic, you need to give people other roads to drive on. Or, you massively improve public transport, so less people rely on their own car - with projects like the EDSA busway.

What about the vendors who operate legally inside the market, while the illegal vendors are outside on the sidewalk, stealing their customers, before they can enter the market? That's the problem with this mentality of allowing everyone to do whatever they want.. those who do things the right way are often losing out.
