Nice video. I've been using tillers since I was 6 (just over 50 years now) and have several Craftsman tillers. I use them to break-in new gardens as well as maintain them over the years. They are great machines and will last many years if properly maintained.
However, I couldn't help but notice you did not set the tilling depth with the wheels on the tiller. The wheels are the pivot point between the tines and the drag stake. Raising the wheels causes the tines to dig deeper into the ground which burys the weeds as it goes along. This will help retard the re-growth of the weeds and makes the ground easier to till again later. Setting the drag stake to a lower depth will help hold the tiller back so it doesn't "run away" from you making less work on you by not having to physically hold it back. Thus, making the machine easier to handle.
Sure are buddy 👍👍👌
Ugh the satisfaction I felt while watching this! I need me a tiller, takes way too long by hand
You can borrow mine anytime 👍
@@SupremeServicesLawnCare haha I wish! I'm in Australia
Well if you ever come to states .. i let you try this 😉😉🤙
You did a nice job!
Bar none, best tiller I've ever seen.
We have a big one around twice the size of that one and self propelled for the veggie patch at our farm. It can go haywire with the clutch sometimes and ens up dragging you along but my god it makes life easier ;D
Yea there handy for sure
Great Vid Supreme always educational👍
Thanks it gives a good idea of the work load required, I’m thinking of buying one
Glad I saw this as I was wondering if I'd have to deturf before using the tiller as all I've seen are prepared ground it being used on ! !
Awesome.. I am taking over my grandparents garden about the same size, I was curious if I could till over the weeds and rake them rather than have to weedwack and all, didnt know if it would work ok. Thanks!!!
The man tilled that garden like a freakin boss
👍👍👍👌👊🙏
Why not dynamite it first then till
@@darrellcrawford1769 it would dig?

Why are the tires on??
just subbed, I bought a used one of the exact same craftsman tiller, I tried it out and it kept cutting deep on the right and the tiller kept tilting sideways. After closer inspection, I found out i had two sets of right blades, the previous owner didn't know this has right and left tines. The left inner and outer tines are discontinued. Do you know where i can get replacement tines (left inner and outer)
thanks
I see ya Supreme. Glad to see those lawn care videos back in full swing. You planning on doing the 2018 setup with the new enclosed trailer? If so looking forward to it.
Wow, a rear tine tiller is way easier for a commercial user. Either an old Troy-built Horse, or BCS or Grillo. Plus, a fenced in garden needs about a 2 foot walkway around it where you wouldn’t till it, but just mow.
If u have sprinkler system can u still use this?
what do i have to do to the soil before starting to till
Thanks for the cool video. After raking and weed whacking the remaining weeds, how do you plan to prevent the weeds from returning? Thanks Again!
This is my question too
Wheels are for transportation NOT for use when tilling!
My garden is quite big so I could do with a tiller to dig over the ground!
Any suggestions for a 43cc southland 2 stroke in a sand heavy, not tilled in 10+ years garden? It's not tilling very deep and it's wet. A lot a big clumps of grass
Yo you be fine 👍👍👌
will a electric mini tiller be able to do an over grown garden also? The garden bed is not as large as this one so will it be worth it to till an over ground bed loaded with weeds like this one ? Thanks
Nice video, Well the weed come back?
And how to make sure they well not grow again?
Thx
Not as bad ,but some will come back ..you have to pull out during crop season...but by next year after summer/fall over you will have to till again
Hi Fadi, It is never a good thing to rotovate weeds as it increases the volume of certain plants, especially bind weed which grows from it root cuttings. I always dig over and remove persistent weeds before rotovating the soil.
Hello & thanks for the video.
I've just moved into my parents house after they passed away, the garden gets soaked as it has clay under the grass, can I use one of these to dig up the garden then replace with soil?
If so how far down should I go until the clay has no effect on my garden?
Thanks
🤙🤙🤙👌👌👊👍
No need to replace soil ..just make sure you get all the roots out
@@SupremeServicesLawnCare I don't want to replace the soil I want to get rid of the clay & REPLACE WITH SOIL!
Thanks
I have a tiller and it is a 4 stroke. When I use it out just doesn't have any power. What could the problem be.
Does the ground have to be soft?
What about the grass left behind the machine .. Grass grow fast in field if you don't throw it..
rototillers are a good workout. lol
How deep can tillers go
Tool Boss? Is that you?
Every the ad says it is!
Take the wheels off next time and pull. Thank me later
