I was 5 years old when this song came out and have loved it all these years. Never ever gets old to me. This was an amazing orchestration and I’m glad I accidentally found it!!
@@Tr8oR66 that’s awesome. They did a fantastic performance. This performance sounds just like the video, I wish I can find that same version of the song
Thnx guys. It Was a great time wirh HOL in Sweden in Sala a few years ago. Talking to James after the show: Sharing a bottle of wine. Great show guys. Me filming a ago HOF song. Glad to share it guys! Check out the drumsolo aswell me fllming from the same show. Cheers!
This was a great night. HOL played in a very small club, Rockland in a Swedish town called SALA. Fun thing was James drank a bottle of wine on stage and got abit tipsy during the show but still did a great job. After the show the guys in the band joined the crowd and talked to the fans. Signing cd's, posters, t-shirts and talked to everyone. I've been to alot of concerts and many band doesn't give a shit about their fans. HOL did. Respect!
buddysmom1000 Well. He sounded fantastic then. This I recorded this video in 2015. No idea of how he sounds now 5 years later. But I'm sure still great. Same voice for decades!
I prefer James touring and recording with Jimi Bell. They've made HoL's best albums, IMHO. Sure Lanny was sort of in the "classic" lineup, and Doug Aldrich is one of my favorites, but Jimi Bell is the best match at this point.

I just saw them this past Friday night in Teaneck, NJ and they played this. He sounds exactly as he does on every album they've released. I even had a moment to meet James after the show. He's a very friendly person.
This song has always touched me very deeply. I love HOL version of this cover and wonderful song. Dunno what it is with these guys but you just can't beat it. Peace out.
todd sebastian Yeah like for 20 years ago. Recorded it on my iPhone. No filters or sound dubs. Pure live. great show, great guys talking to their fans after the show. Respect!
so what...you're not supossed to play it live how you did it in the studio ..you stick to the main theme but stretch it out ...that's the joy of seeing done live as opposed to playing the recording ..or didn't you know that, lars...
@@rogerkoob9904 Yo Roger, I prefer and expect exact same performance on live also especially trademarks of songs like guitar solo, this song’s guitar solo is trademark of this song
This song was meant to be sung by him. Sorry, Steve Winwood, Joe Cocker, Sheryl Crowe, all of you. James owns it. Mind blowing. I've been loving this song since I was 15 and I'm 40 now. It's a classic beauty.
Warren Joseph Yeah. Sounds the same like for 20 years ago. No fileter or sound doubs. Just palin live recording. And they are really nice guys. Talked to them after the show. Great to their fans

It’s funny (or perhaps really sad) that when I google/youtube my favourite ‘super groups’ from my younger metal days they ALL seem to be playing in small pubs and clubs with shitty PA systems where you can hear people talking and ordering drinks in the background!! I kind of wish I’d never watched this, as although they’re still good, this is certainly not the immense metal super-group that I remember!
Rock and Roll Icons!

Oh wow! Never have I heard anyone today who sounds just like they did back then! Absolutely perfect!
They sound the same.... perfect is right
Or we all just fell into the same time warp *guitar riff* (a la Bill and Ted) Excellent!!
