I'm over here a year later laughing at the night time voiceover... "the vampires are really vampiring right now and I'm scared for everyone" made me laugh out loud 🤣
I loved this one, I’m glad you enjoyed it too! I’m looking forward to book 2! I agree that the author did a great job of juggling timelines and keeping them interesting/engaging
Glad you enjoyed Empire of the vampire. I enjoyed it as well. One of my favorite reads last year. I look forward to re-reading this one when book 2 comes out.
Yes! You vlogged it! So glad you enjoyed it. I was having the same reactions as you. I didn’t expect to love it so much, but it was great and still remains in my top 3 favorite books. I can’t wait for the 2nd book.
Ahhh yay, I love that you enjoyed EotV so much! I already adored Nevernight, so EotV was one of my most anticipated releases of last year and it did not disappoint!! The hopping back and forth between the timelines really kept me engaged the entire way through, that was so masterfully done. And gosh, just seeing you react to that chapter near the end brings back allll the feels. I love me some emotional turmoil 🥲🤍 Loved this vlog, hope you had a great Tome Topple! 🥰
I read that book last year and loved it! I am not really participating in tomb topple, but I did finish book 4 (House of Chains) of the Malazan books. I am slowly working on Midnight Tides.
You sold me on this book in the first few minutes of this video. I had NO intention of starting another (thick) book as I have a few to get through, but I was intrigued. I started it yesterday and so far I love it. It's a fast read (good writing) so the size of it is actually not an issue.
Ooh, a vlog, fun! I had a successful readathon finally getting to a translation of Ovid that I wanted to read, but I do hope to get to some of my fantasy tomes next round :)
I knew you would like it! Or at least I hoped you would! 😆 And yes that chapter got me too. I kept hoping it wouldn't actually happen but alas. Also, I loved how vampire-y these vampires are. Like they go dark!
Yeah it was great! And I really could’ve gone the rest of my life without reading that chapter. That was rough 😭 I loved the vampires too! I was so stressed whenever Danton popped up lol
I'm on the fence about Empire of the Vampire, but I'm guessing that it would drive me crazy. If I know something awful is coming, hinted to throughout the book, I tend to dislike the book. It's not the awful part that bugs me. It's the waiting, with this thing hanging over the story that's happened. Argh. Flashbacks are not my jam. I really didn't like Addie LaRue, or Book Thief.
I feel you on that. I’d still say give it a read! There are some great subplots in EOTV that I think keep your attention off of the more difficult scenes in later parts!
Ahhhh! I have EoTV on my shelf and I’m so scared to read it because everyone says my heart will be shredded. I also was only able to get through one book this Tome Topple and that was The Empire of Gold by SA Chakraborty and I am DEVASTATED!!! This trilogy was so amazing and definitely my favorite so far this year!🥹❤️

Lol! That section of the book had me so stressed 😂

Have you gotten your hands on Empire of the Damned ?! The cover and artwork are fantastic!
I loved this book too! One of my top 20
I had never even thought about picking this up till now!
It’s worth a read! Just so long 😅
I'm so glad you enjoyed Empire of the Vampire! The shocking/sad part - gutted me. I was bawling. I can't wait for the next book.
Yaaaasss! I'm so glad you liked it. I loved it too. Can't wait for the rest of the story.

Loved this! The reaction clip at the end was so good. I knew exactly what part you were on.
Thanks, Amanda! It was so difficult to read through that 😩

Ok you have reignited my desire to read the book!
I really enjoyed this book. I’m really looking forward to part two to find out the rest of the story.
Same here! And I’m going to need a lot more info about Gabriel in book 2 😅
Aww this was excellent, might need to actually start reading it now haha it’s been gathering dust on my shelf for ages.

This definitely makes me want to pick it up!
I hope you do!
1 Year late but does anyone know what chapter the Vampires are really vampiring out on? IE the absolute nuts chapter.
I marked several nuts chapters, but I’m pretty sure I was referring to Book 4, chapter XV with that comment 🤣
YAAS Peet’s coffee is superior
It really is 😌
Where are you??? Any new books reviews?
Your cat is gorgeous 😍 what breed is it
