    My Cison V8 not only broke a push rod in four pieces, it sheared the locating pin for #1 exhaust cam lobe and shifted the cam gear on the cam shaft. I used a suspension part from some Ofna all-wheel-drive spares I had laying around and loc-tited and re-pinned the cam lobe. I replaced both rocker arm shafts with laser track rods from a clapped out CD-ROM drive because they were longer. All issues resolved so far. Your engine sounds great.

    Love how the Chinese engines make it a Chevy but put the distributor in the front 😅 just a forewarning everybody the instruction manual is very hard to decipher and the one they have as a PDF file it's more confusing. You definitely have to have some mechanic understanding to put one of these engines together and to run it .

      not chevy sorry dude its a 440 mopar engine. states right on the website
      "The Art of Miniature Precision
      The CISON Small-block V8-440 Engine Kit is more than just a mechanical masterpiece. Picture a 1/6 scale marvel that mirrors the finest details of a full-sized V8 engine, the best high performance v8 engine model ever. This miniature powerhouse, boasting an impressive 4.8 horsepower and an RPM range of 1500-10000rpm, is designed with an obsessive commitment to precision. It's not merely a model; it's a captivating work of art in motion. Every component, every curve, and every detail has been meticulously crafted to perfection."

      @@w.r2845originally when they were developing this engine they were calling it a Chevy block for almost 6 months but people were jumping all over them about the distributor in the front. That's why they changed it to say it's a Mopar engine

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  6 місяців тому +1

      yep i remember that, the block is a true scale chevy 4 bolt main and heads they couldn't get gears small enough to put the dizzy in the back,

    • @driverjamescopeland
      @driverjamescopeland 5 місяців тому

      Umm... they didn't "make it a Chevy".
      -Front drive distributor (Buick, FoMoCo, most Chrysler/Mopar)
      -symmetrical intake/exhaust ports (FoMoCo, some Chrysler, late model GM,)
      The only thing "Chevy" about these engines, is the valve cover bolt pattern, optional script, and firing order.

  • @tatianabobrova4107
    @tatianabobrova4107 5 місяців тому

    HI They have a fan and shroud available which would help with the cooling. Also unless the radiator tank has a divider inside of it between the inlet and outlet how can the coolant circulate through the fins? Usually it flows from one tank to the other through the fins. If you have a degree wheel on hand it would be wise to advance your camshaft a couple of degrees. Might as well if they give you provisions to do so. This engine should rev up to ten thousand rpm no problem. I use the centrifugal clutches off of chainsaws or weed whackers on my engines which work great. Just don't start it without the outer part of the clutch on it because the weights and springs will go flying on startup. Don't ask!

  • @N301RCSTREETOUTLAWS
    @N301RCSTREETOUTLAWS 5 місяців тому

    I've been mocking some stuff up for this engine. The L4 shaft does fit, I've seen people already using it, so that clutch will work. I don't know if it's strong enough though, because the Cison clutch looks a lot like a 1/10th scale nitro clutch. I'm thinking a 1/8th clutch might work like a Reds Tetra. Anyway, using a Revo trans with steel gears, a Tmaxx diff with the same, alloy housings, I am pretty certain by the measurements Cison put out that I can stuff this thing in a 1/8th scale street eliminator. I would probably be a little on the Rat Fink side in scale, and the radiator will have to be in the middle of the car suspended over the transmission, but with that, I'd be able to have a 3.5 inch long drive shaft which is about what a Tmaxx uses in the rear. A 1/7th (410mm wb car) would be more ideal, but I really want this in a 330mm wb car. Anyway, just waiting on the early birds like you to find out the engine "bugs" before I take on the project, haha.
