"there is two working cup holders" heavily breathing
So great to hear from loyal viewers who know what they're talking about! Thanks for spreading the word about WOT, episode 16. We're so glad to have you as part of our audience.
Jessi
Jessi-you were terrific in that Ford Police Car
I really appreciate that! Thank you for your feedback and for being one of our viewers!
Jessi
Let's all ride along with Jessi as she talks to the big Motorola salesman and he shows her how to push all the colorful buttons and even how to pull out a big bang-bang. Watch how Jessi helps the big Motorola salesman explain all the car's built-in surveillance technology. And then she gets to drive in the front seat. Jessi starts to feel like a cop! And we feel like idiots for watching this drivel.
fuck off
+John Techwriter Pretty accurate.
+thecomputerman100 jjui a
"Who gets to drive in the front seat of a cop car?"
Law enforcement officials.
+Desert My Eagle I said the same thing to myself! Who the hell asks a question like that?
+Desert My Eagle It's fairly obvious that she's implying people that aren't in Law Enforcement.
Michael N. Yes, but she may not know that herself.
**DERP**
You are correct I work for Geek Squad and that is what I do
2:38 Not really that sophisticated lady. You press a button, a lock unlocks and an alert goes out...
'state of the art' Windows XP. LOL
thecooldude9999 God forbid they put windows 8.
Yeah, I noticed that right away too. However, interfacing XP with custom hardware is far more easy then with modern Windows versions. You don't need signed drivers and applications have much more low level hardware control, which is why legacy applications massively fail on Windows 8 and sometimes even Windows 7. Windows XP Embedded is still highly standardized in the industrial, government, banking and specialized systems field, plus it is still supported with complete updates for everything until 2019. Industrial/factory controllers, Kiosks, ATMs and pretty much any other custom application that's too complex or custom for a cheap microcontroller with Linux on it. Because besides XP, Linux is second to the highest in this kind of implementation. For industrial and custom use more and more of it is moving to Linux, but sometimes Windows is needed, and that usually ends up being XP Embedded.
+thecooldude9999
WIndows XP still gets updates for corporate entities (such as banks and their ATMs), and this will continue for a few more years.
+thecooldude9999 dude but its 32 bit operating system what you mean tho? LOLOLOL
Einstein Tesla
No, its either 64 or 32 bit. In the embedded version 64 bit usage is almost as common as 32 bit. The home 64 bit version didn't sell that well though.
Officer Jesse- Got any drugs on you?
Me- Yes
Officer Jesse- Where?
Me- Gonna have to find out yourself, let's just say they're warm.
Nothing about the engine or drivetrain. Nothing about the brakes or stopping distance. Nothing about 0 to 60, top speed or performance. Nothing about vehicle weight, capacities or tolerances. Nothing about ballistic modifications, safety gear or heavy duty aftermarket equipment. Were we to just watch some ditz doing doughnuts in the water during one of the worst droughts in California history?
Lol this video is old anyways. The new interceptors have already been out for like 4 years. They've already changed quite a bit more since this
it is 2 cylinder echo boost 25 horse power
Most police vehicles have nice ballistic glass at all actually.
It's a fucking Ford Taurus wearing police lights, that's all it is, has the same motor options and drive train as the civilian version.
It's faster then the old Crown Vic, it's modestly larger but much more technological.
They slap the word "Interceptor" onto it's name to sell it.
@@JarOfRats You can get the F150s Twin Turbo 3.5 in a Tarus SHO, an engine that's even better.
That same engine is avalible in the highest spec interceptors, IE the Taurus and Interceptor are effectively the same vehicle minus bigger coil overs on the interceptor
I came for...well....I just came.
Nothing about engine specs..... I thought this was Moter Trend Channel.
365hp 3.5L twin turbo V6
DerekT single turbo
zach123144 twin turbo bada
Our Chevy caprice is a 6.0 v8
Fords are turbo
Gixxa Jax whats our supposed to mean?
SHE'S THE ONLY REASON WHY I STAYED TO WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO!
Meanwhile in India:Highest level of cop tech- Walkie Talkie
rekt
I love the American Police cars. Some of them have really nice graphics on them. Our British ones are all the same boring Battenburg squares
Lol sucks to suck
+minislayer2010 But you guys have BMWs!!!
+TheZombaslaya Yeah but they still have the same graphics on them.
But we have Chargers and Mustangs!!! :D
German police cars suck too
How cool to hear! Thank you for that!
Jessi
My pleasure! Thanks for watching and for writing!
Jessi
Jesus christ lady, is that mascara or a coal deposit on your eye lashes?
Omg I'm dead 😂😂😂😂
Time to apply some cold water to that burn, lmao.
Didn't know you have to shake your head every single second to have a conversation
EVERY SECOND?
Thank you! So glad to have you here with us!
Jessi
Many thanks! If you haven't already, check out episode 17 of The Downshift and episode 16 of WOT for more 2012 and 2013 police car info.
Jessi
When I was younger, I was a tech at a Ford dealership and we worked on a lot of cop cars. When I first started, I turned on the lights and sirens and got in trouble because it sends a signal to the station. I wish somebody told me that first. I mean who could resist the urge to turn on the lights and sirens.
We did take them on "test drives"and scare the crap out of people.
Hi I have a question did you know how reliable are the 3.5l engine?? I read a lot of bad comments on those engines were the water pump fail on about 80k to 100k miles and the coolants goes to the engine damaging the engine 😳 I read a lot of negative testimonials
6:21 while California is experiencing a drought LOL
They wouldn't have to worry about a drought if the dumb fucks would build desalinization plants.
Twisted86 Yeah. I hate our government. California is awesome, but they still refuse to save the people and help their citizens and won't build a desalinization plant. Still better than Texas.
Mustafa Ahmedani because they would rather save some tiny fish then to invest in drinking water.
You guys don't realize the absolute chaos and destruction that would occur without the government...
TheBlazePlays Actually, we have quite a bit of chaos and destruction WITH our current government.
Now let me clarify.
Our government is not intrinsically bad. There are simply some elements of the structure we currently have that incite corruption and misuse.
Thanks for watching!
Jessi
Jessi, thank you for that great video, and especially for giving us LEO's props, especially saying publicly how difficult our job is.
Can't wait until these start showing up on used car lots.
True that gotta wait a couple years once they start hitting 75k miles though just like how they already have multitudes of crown vics already and maybe a few chargers and caprices retired! The new Caprice cop car looks nice too!
A chick who like cars...and guns? I ain't even mad bro!
Many thanks! Hope you'll stay tuned!
Jessi
My apologies. We featured this car in two previous episodes (episode 17 of The Downshift and episode 16 of WOT) and I took for granted viewers' knowledge of the specs/overall vehicle and just spent my day in a bucket-list way. Going forward, I'll be sure not to leave you wondering. I hope you'll stay tuned!
Jessi
So she talks nothing about the car...
Not sure if like or dislike this technology...
your knowledge just keeps on growing jessi! amazing to see how willing you are to learn in every video :)
I appreciate your feedback! Hope you'll stay tuned!
Jessi
"the complexity of those functions" shows windows xp
What's worse than a police interceptor?
A police interceptor being driven by a blonde.
Geoffrey111995's HD Productions But DAM she looked great in the uniform!
***** If you say so.
+David Holt that's what all blondes say.
@Yuri Katsuki What about toxic FEMINAZIS!
Thanks for the informative episode Jessi!!!!!!
It's one of my favorite cars, a Taurus SHO.
Who's restarted idea was it to use this god-awful reality show format
Water as slippery as black ice?? Hahah!
black ice is like driving on oiled glass...
I love those new Police Interceptor sedans and utility. Ecoboost sure makes them move. I want to get one of each in next few years.
Jessi...I know this is an old video but just wanted to say it's always enjoyable to watch your stuff. A good mix of intelligence, fun, interesting info and a pretty face too. Keep up the good work.
Officer Jessie has removed her bra.... All officers converge
Even though this is outdated there is so much wrong with this. No departments I know of use Motorola equipment like this. Maybe the ALPR. Consoles typically include well labeled control boxes from whelen, code 3, federal signal, feniex... Not that confusing Motorola box. 2nd why the hell were you driving around with your takedowns on like that? Those are for scene illumination. Another problem I have is all that electric gun locks and stuff. If something electrical fails then you can't get your gun in that emergency. I know that one is unavoidable though.
Nice video MotorTrend keep up the good work!!
Welcome to my world Jess...You are awesome!
"...there are 2 working cup holders, which is pretty exciting."
What would 2 non working cup holders be like? hahaha
Cool. I am gonna be an officer one day, just knowing this technology in police cars makes me feel relieved and safe when I am gonna be patrolling in the future.
+Nite Mask fuck u pig
Fuck you too criminal
Its your mother
+Nite Mask cops are criminals with permission they are out there doing the same thing your so called criminals are doing. They steal they don't call it stealing. They Robb people they just don't call it Robbery. They kid nap they just don't call it kid napping. They kill but they but they denie that they kill
+richie rich you must be black
Jessi is my hero! Burnouts in the GT500, Off Roading in a Rubicon, and now this! Keep it going!
Congratulations Jessi, you have mad this show from being watchable to one of my favorite car youtube webisodes
I hate hearing it called a "cop car"... it's a police car or patrol car.... Ugh.
I call them Squad Cars and I hate hearing it called anything else. Do we have an understanding!
We call it a pig car or paddy wagon here in the UK.
crozzmglen LOL
crozzmglen or a panda car
Chevy ad, Ford video... UA-cam why
Great as always
By seeing this, it really makes me think this is what I want my future job to be! It looks so great!
That police car is in fuckin GTA5
Yes, someone designed the FPI like 4 months ago.
I think hes reffering to Police3 idk
+waflop Hopefully he's referring to the mod because POLICE3 is a Vapid Interceptor, a different car.
+MonkeyFace The Vapid Interceptor is based on the Ford Police Interceptor...
+TheIceWarrior I'm aware of that, but they're two different cars.
I've been a very bad boy.
Very Informative ... Thanks Jessi & MotorTrend staff :-)
When she said black ice, Key and Peele came to mind immediately. One of their funniest skits.
Although you didn't show it, you guys shouldn't tell people there is a gun lock button. Because that's all we need is for criminals to break into a car hitting every button trying to release the gun lock.
only works with the key in the ignition.
Windows XP? Hope they arent still running that.
They probably still are. Maybe they're running the lightweight still-supported version and if not, then they can expect hackers and viruses in those computers
+SniperNator
One could expect that of most any computer operated by the average person with web access though.
+Alex Grace It's mostly Windows 7 now. At least in the newer vehicles. Usually the computer is installed manually by the Police Department (so they choose the operating system). The police vehicles usually come with the mount (look up the video "2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility" by "The Fast Lane Car" on UA-cam).
Another great video!
Very cool video. Jessi you are awesome!
now ive gotta learn new headlights, FFS
lmfao don't feel bad my family members have too. I want to drive one lol.
too late already got pulled over, damn OPP and their massive budget!
***** Blame ford for discontinuing the Crown Vic
not even that hot.. like honestly
Jessi Lang is the best I could watch this show all day long if she's driving
I love the fact about the LPR system! Technology is moving very fast! Another reason why I love America!
Why does she have to repeat everything on the video voice over thingee. Lol so annoying
Thanks!
its so true. you become a different person when you drive a police car. our shop does a lot of work for the local police department. test drives are fun.
whoa crap! Jessi? you are working with Motor Trend now! AWESOME!! Congrats on the huge leap to a major publication!!
Nice work Jessi!
great segment jessi! fun, interesting, and the smile on your face makes me wish i could get out from behind my desk and have a job like that. which means great job working it. =)
The cars are that good. All wheel drive and traction control. I've seen some comparison videos and the Ford PPV is an awesome machine.
In the uk we call it the ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition instead of ALPR
Drove one today at work. A few issues, computer location, angle prevents me from reaching the air and heat controls. Can't reach the trunk release button. With the gear in the trunk (non removable stuff) left little room for other gear (box of reports, cones, bags, a second bag for a partner). Rear seat set up was hard on a subject. long seat but little leg room. I am a small to med. sized guy and was fine but can see it being really rough on larger officers.
great review jessi!
Really neat video, I only wish I could get behind the wheel of one of those
dang. Jessi, you get the coolest assignments. haha. driving exotics is cool too but some of these random videos are cool and it seems like you're having the time of your life. nice job Jessi & MT.
in my department we use the skid pans for simulations of braking and maneuvering with and without ABS.... you hit a cone... thats 15 pushups
hats off to you PD
Only Jessi can pull off a fail and make it look good! Love the laugh on that stuck cap!
Too cute! awesome car, I have always been interested in cop cars :D Thanks MotorTrend!
We get more MPG though and the 6th gen Civics come stock with fully independant dual wishbone suspension. Put on a decent sized rear sway bar, nonricey sticky all season tires and it will corner very well.
Very cool!
Good video Jessi!
LOOOL! you don't wanna know about the last time I saw someone have so much fun in a cop car :D
I'm eager to see whether chevy is going to continue to use the ss/caprice or if the new 2014 impala will also get a police spec package
ya my buddy had one with the 350 and those cars were friggen fast!
Looks like a fun way to spend a day :)
Police vehicle model years start before the calendar year as well?
i own a old 03 cvpi and it had cup holders same with my older 01 even with the center console
We've had these for about a year here in Oklahoma City
very cool car!!
Really great car
the field sobriety tests are done farther away from the road (to the right of the car) for safety sense theres multiple people involved. the regular camera often isnt pointed directly at them so a separate camera is aimed specifically at that place. the camera is for later in court, to show evidence and proof of the test and what happened
Gotta agree with that!
A track test of this car would be awesome
It's a combination of the AWD and the clearance of the vehicle. My Legacy can get stuck in places(Snow for the example) that the Outback sedan (Legacy with a factory lift kit) will do fine in.
i've driven my CVPI for about five years now. here's to hoping that when these get retired they are just as reliable and chock full of similar badassery as the CVPI.
i wonder how well these new car are going to hold up to some pounding, those crown vics were TANKS.
are all those features standard on interceptors or are they not in the market yet?
I work for a company that uses P90 police intercecptors they are amazing they ride like they on rails and crazy fast the motor will explode be fore it shuts down you can red line it til it explodes amazing motor
