As ever, a great vlog. To be honest, i don't like the new style and separate voice over, seems to lose some of the realism and sincerity you do so well. It feels read? Long time supporter of this channel though and will stick with throughout, see you on the road 😊

I guess I prefer the voice-over which leads to more depth regarding the topic. It's cool interspersed with the real-time dialogue. What a great city. What a great couple. It's videos like this that prompted my family and I to become patrons and support The Endless Adventure on a monthly basis. We are big fans!

Markthalle 9 / Markthalle Neun at Eisenbahnstraße 42/43, 10997 Berlin is not in the east - it's in Kreuzberg and Kreuzberg belongs to the west. :-)

Not sure how I stumbled across your channel but I'm hooked. I can loose hours watching your adventures :-)
Next time you come to the UK you should come to the North West. Spend some time in the beautiful Roman city of Chester, visit Liverpool and Manchester and explore the Cheshire countryside. You'll love it :-)

That's awesome! And yeah we definitely will try to. There's still so much of the UK we haven't seen :D

  • @derlaurenz

Small correction: Makthalle 9 is in Kreuzberg which is considered to be in the west part of Berlin. "East" usually means in Berlin the former GDR part, which may lead to confusion. While it geographically seems to be eastern when you look it up on a map, it's still in the west

Great tour through Berlin. One thing though. The "Markthalle Neun" is located in Kreuzberg which used to be West-Berlin. Some people are very sensitive to the whole East-West-Thing. You probably shouldn't call it the East-Site.

Maybe because in Berlin people drink responsibly in parks. Americans don't tend to be on their best behavior with beer. If alot of them where more mature then maybe we'd be able to have a beer in public parks.

Great video, just a little nitpick you should have prolly mentioned.
If you go order a döner,or as you called,döner kebab somewhere, they´ll very likely give you the one that is in the triangular shaped bread,if people specifically want the dürüm one you ate,it´s usually a separate choice on the menu.(eg a local döner shop specifically labels it as dürüm döner in my town)
I personally dont prefer either of them, the bread one tends to have too much bread if you are like me and pick the stuff out with a fork, otherwise you need a really big mouth and its really messy.Dürüm are the generally less messy version, but the filling at the bottom tends to slide out.(also,I def prefer the dürüm dough)

3:09 "Biergärten" in Berlin are not the real deal. If you want to know what the real "Biergarten-culture" is, you need to go to bavaria and especially munich.. Berlin is an amazing city, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Bavarian culture.

Yes, to tell the truce it is hard work to choose between the many interesting spots in the now reunited Berlin. I lived for a while in West-Berlin, in Zehlendorf in the south of the city, in the American Sector, even went to school there. The western part of the city alone is huge. In my days West-Berlin already had three million inhabitants! So my respect to your presentation. You have done the best of it comparing the time vs. clip length ratio. TYPICAL FOOD: You clearly have missed Blutwust ( Redsausage ) and Hackepeter ( raw. fresh grounded beef or beef and pork spiced with pepper and salt mixed with minced apple and onion slices ) You liver there long enough like me and you start to love it.

Loved the video. When you guys showed images of the holocaust memorial I chocked up. Even though I'm the daughter of two people who were 4 when the war ended and I don't have any Jewish family members, it was always a huge influence in my family and upbringing. My grandpa from my mother's side had to go into hiding many times because a high placed German in my city (they occupied Tilburg) was not happy with my grandpa's work. It had a huge impact on my mom's early years. Which resonated in my upbringing. They weren't Jewish but still very fragile...if they had arrested my grandpa he probably would've ended up in one of the camps. Thank God they never were able to arrest him. For some reason they left my grandma and my aunt and my mom alone. Why, I don't know...but I'm glad they did.

Bravo! A wonderful city guide, even if, as you said you covered only a part of what Berlin has to offer it is an amazing city guide. Great footage, and visually beautiful in general but most importantly you cover and explain everyting briefly and concisely and in an INTERESTING way, wich so many vlogs and city guides fail to do. Fantstic work because apart form the entertaining ''side'' you leave with new info, which is what makes it so amazing! Thank you!

The coffee and croissants looked amazing. Eric's hot dog and your sandwich Allison looked good also. That holocaust memorial made me quite sad.

I just want to go to Berlin right now! Great clip and I like the voiceover parts, kind of mixes it up a little. As ever, keep up the good work and have fun.

I have been playing catch-up with your vlogs. According to my calculations you should both be over 300 pounds.

As a one off it was good. But as people who have already seen your vlogs daily seemed a little strange. Maybe you could tweak it if you stay long enough in a city to do a city guide with the best bots of the week etc. Voice over did seem a little strange

Thanks for the video. It seems odd that they would tear down the church because it was a reminder then build a memorial with its symbol there.
    Have you ever considered Australia?

I'm going to Berlin in the last week of October. I hope it's still nice enough to be out and about in parks!
