I totally agree with you on Monster Train! My most favourite Deckbuilder so far....
"If you die in the castle, you die in real life." 🤣🤣 Loved that casual drop.
If only stuff that happened in one game changed the other.
for example, if you play Deliverance and stop mid-game you might find your hero used as an attacker in Reign.
This looks like it has potential, I'm also gonna be keeping my eye on this one. If they add some polish to the Reign side of it and make it feel a bit more unique from Monster Train, then this will be a winner for me.
Would be really cool if there was some connection between the two game modes, for example one of the bosses you fight is the character you created in the other mode or something.
Definately a series of this would be good
It will be interesting to see how deep it'll go and how it will stack up against StS / Vault of the Void ... and Monster Train :)
I like both aspects but I could see people prefering one mode or the other (which makes DLCs / updates more challenging otherwise they might fall behind the "yes it's two in one game").
That said Defend the Rook was nice so they might just focusing a good finished game!
Thanks for the recommendation! I have played the demo, and I must say I really like both game modes. I like the risk/reward of Deliverance, but I like Reign too. I haven't played Monster Train yet (still have it on my wish list) so I can't compare.

Played around with the demo myself, definitely an interest game. I did notice some bugs, like the enemies names in Reign being the Deliverance ones after I swapped between games at one point but otherwise its pretty solid for a demo, needs some quality of life changes before a full release though.
Seeing this for the first time 7 months later, and wondering if any progress was made yet. I may look into it
Blessing of Revenge would have made all the poison accumulation better by adding 2 damage to minions instead of just hp loss for your hero.
A fun deck would have been Necrotic Sword, Blessing of Revenge, and the once your health is low enough refill with Desperate Prayer. Almost like playing a Berserker Paladin.
Reign needs a similar mechanic to monster train where "banner" units are priority draws
That "V" in "DeliVerance" feels oddly familiar for some reason. Anyone feel the same?
V Rising maybe? Although I feel like most vampire properties have a blood red V with little bat wings on them in some form or another.
I hope Deliverance gets more polish, like Fate Hunters, which plays almost exactly the same, but UX is much better there. Pity it's short
Dont know why but it looks cheap/unrefined. It is a weird decision to compete both with Slay the Spire and Monster Train at the same time, hope they offer a fresh approach on both of the games, otherwise, why bothering?
I mean for me personally, I'm more interested in this than monster train, because of the presentation and style. But yeah, it's a weird way to do it

Why steal only fate hunters or monster train, if you can steal both and put them in one game?

i think that the game has a cool idea, unfortunatly i will probably only be playing Deliverance
I'd definitely check out Fate Hunters if you're interested. It's basically the exact same game, right down to the meta progression and character archetypes and Deliverance doesn't seem to have done much to innovate on it - it's a bit expensive full price for what it is, but it often ends up in bundles or on a 75% off sale during the usual steam events.
