    I just came across this channel… what a hidden gem! You’re on an Alex On Autos level of professionalism, with a presentation like John Davis from Motorweek. What a great blend of the two styles!

    Never thought about the crossover or wagon comparison 🤔……. Have to get back to you on that one

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 роки тому +1

      Ha! With crossovers being on a car platform, they're basically wagons with poorer driving dynamics, Todd Watkins. But wagons are an acquired taste. 😜 Thanks for watching!

    My man. Drop the clues 💣, Q7 for the Wifey, you are a smooth cat. I am the same way with my wife, too. Glad to see you a 100%.
    Audi as of lately provide a clean design interior especially the dash area, however, it's works well and as the car ages the interior holds up and stays fashionable. 👍

      Yeah, that Q7 has held up well for us, Steven R. We were just talking about how to most people it looks exactly the same as the brand new ones on the lot and we've had ours 5-1/2 years now. Still love it and my wife drives it every day. Thanks for watching!

    Good review as usual Chris. As for the Audi, too many $$$ for what you get. Not connecting the exhaust to the rear tips? That's just ridiculous.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 роки тому

      😅 The exhaust was definitely a surprise, R. Brown. We've seen fake duals where the exhaust is a single pipe that splits into two at the rear, but don't recall any tips terminating below the valance like these do. Thanks for watching!

    Great work as always Chris. Love the Q7, but as a empty nester don't need the space. So the A6 Avant would be more my liking

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 роки тому

      Totally agree, James Davis. We still need the space of the Q7, but I'd take the (RS?) 6 Avant any day. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    Another Great & informative video. I think SUV over wagons But I can't think of any wagons. Are there still some around? And if so,,,, they are Really, far & few between them.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 роки тому

      They are definitely harder to come by thanks SUVs/crossovers, D Woods. That might be why I like them so much. Oh, and to answer your question, Audi A6/S6/RS6 Avant (featured at end of this video), Mercedes E-class wagon, Volvo S60/90, Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, Subaru Outback. The pickings are slim, but there are a few out there for those who are looking.

    I would love it if Audi offered the S4 Avant here. The SQ5 looks great and performs well. I can see people cross shopping the GV70 against this.

      Man, I'm hoping they'll send me the RS6 Avant, Timothy Weatherspoon. I'm not holding my breath, tho. Thanks for watching!

    I prefer SUVs; I don't mind sitting higher up. Wagons look strange to me. Great review and I like that Audi's leather seats and the technology.
    What car would you say is "scary fast"?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 роки тому +1

      Usually the scary fast cars are expensive, but Dodge's Charger Hellcat ua-cam.com/video/FlR0qwfFTF4/v-deo.html and the Mercedes GT-C ua-cam.com/video/2LB3cMXBzZ4/v-deo.html come to mind. I had both of those for review last year and they could be legitimately scary to drive if you weren't careful. I'll try to edit this reply with the links so you can see.
      Also, I know I'm in the minority when it comes to wagons.😂 I think that's why I like them. Just to be different. Thanks for watching, Evette Collins,

    Lol that is where all the silicon chips go. 71,000 for something that looks smaller than a RAV-4? I say just pass or lease at best.

    • @AutoAcademics

      🤣 These cars definitely have a lot of tech in them, Paul M. And it is about the size of a current-gen RAV4. But WAAYYYY faster. Thanks for watching!

    I think I'd choose the top trim Genesis GV70 over this.
