I’m probably one of the older guys on here but this brings back so many amazing memories. I had a 2 355’s over the years and even though they weren’t close to being near the fastest of cars I’ve owned. It’s still my favorite Ferrari ever. Even in ugly a$$ BRG with green top and tan interior. You guys will LOVE this car. Just hits different. Thanks Quinn for bringing her back to life! Keep it up Boys

Great to see another manual car saved by the Throtl group. Quinn's hard learning and wrenching has payed off on an Italian Stallion, still a way to go in the cosmetic department and the finishing bits in the bay but the main process that was the most expensive part is done.

That starter motor looks like a permanent magnet reduction drive unit. If you hit them with a hammer it can break the magnets and kill it. They have large servicable contacts in the solenoid that take 10 minutes to change, then file the plunger contact and you're good to go. You can also clean the armature bearings and re grease if you want to get carried away. Great series, might watch again when the resolution is better than potato.
Thanks for that I'd seen people hitting starters with a hammer before and never knew why. Now I do

@throtl I hope you guys addressed the fuel line recall that's a notorious issue on these! That's how Hoovies Garage's 355 burnt to the ground. Apparently the original fuel lines were plastic and would get dry rotted and crack, spilling fuel onto the hot exhaust manifold. The recall swapped the lines out for steel braided ones. Loving the series, keep up the hard work boys!
