I tried charging my iPhone 16 with a new MagSafe (Qi2) charger hooked up to a 60 watt brick, and it was far slower than when I plugged it into the USB-C in the back of my Mac Mini, which I think only puts out 15 watts. The MagSafe just seems very inconsistent with the iPhone 16. Sometimes, I've left it on there for 30 to 45 minutes, and the charge number hardly changes. And then sometimes, it charges pretty fast. I'm beginning to wonder if it has something to do with the beta iOS 18.1 on my phone.

Apple is likely limiting the charging speed a little to avoid quicker battery wear.
Matt Talks Tech showed MagSafe hitting 18W and MagSafe 2 hitting 26W and even higher.
