    We are Jayesh & Shreya, yes that's our real name. We are Indian couple living in Germany. We both had a wish to travel throughout Europe and also other parts of the world. That is the reason why we thought to start making travel vlogs. sometimes it happens that we don't really get full information or get confused to plan a trip. We are making a small attempt to solve this through our videos.

      @@subharajsaha499 thanks for watching. Do you mean House of Music? We bought the tickets offline through their counter near Opera. It costed us 23 Euros per person. Tickets are negotiable when purchased offline and the cost depends on how close you want to sit from the stage.
      For online tickets you can buy them here.

      @JayeshandShreya  Рік тому

      Hi, Thanks for your comment. Happy to know that you found this video helpful 🙂
      The Guided tour of Opera can be booked on the spot at the Opera. The Music concert was from House of Music.
      On that day, there were few people selling the tickets just outside the Opera. You can also check if they have a show on the day you are visiting on their website. You can also book a suitable ticket online. One advantage we had of buying it offline was that we could Bargain the price for the ticket 😁😁
      Hope that answers your question and have a nice trip to Vienna 😃😃

    Hi Shreya...nice video on Vienna...one query was there any dress code to enter the opera house...we faced in Paris...so curious to know. Thanks

    • @JayeshandShreya
      @JayeshandShreya  Рік тому

      Hi Indrani,
      There was no dress code to enter the Opera as such for the Guided tour. Most of the visitors there are tourists. If you plan to go to the opera for a big Musical function then the dress code is applicable.
      In addition, if you plan to buy tickets for house of music then check if dress code is mentioned for it. The slot booked by us didn’t had any dress code.

    Vienna has over 100 Museums.
    For those who are interested there is the "Vienna city card" for tourist which offers free rides for public transportation and many various discounts for museum tickets, sightseeing tours, some restaurant visits and some Hotel stays.
    It is categorized for the duration of 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours and with different variations in what it has actually included. All in all there are 12 variants beginning with the price of 17 Euros up till 73 Euros depending on the run of validity and what is actually included.
    When you are intended to see and visit a lot during the stay in Vienna it pays off immensely.
    According to the Sachertorte aggreement.
    The Hotel has got the label "Original Sacher Torte" and their version has 2 layers of apricot jam
    Demel has the label "Eduard Sacher Torte" (Eduard Sacher created it actually) and their Sachertorte has 1 layer of apricot jam.
    (By the way Viennese locals predominately are buying "Demel´s Sachertorte" because for them this is the actual Original knowing the actual background story, although most people here in Vienna are able to bake it themselves anyway and for the most part the Torte is even way better homemade... just as side note)
    What was the story behind that Sachertorte law suit :
    Eduard Sacher was an employed confectioner for Demel and he made the Torte for Demel´s pastry repertoire in 1848 decades before Eduard Sacher opened the Hotel.
    As he opened the Hotel in 1876 for many further years both places sold exactly the same Sacher Torte.
    But after the family Sacher sold the Hotel in the 1930ties after the death of Eduard Sacher´s widow, the new owner wanted the exclusive distribution rights for the Torte and sued Demel in 1938 although Demel had the legal exclusive distribution rights already for almost a century ...the lawsuit then lasted 25 years till lastly an out of court agreement took place in 1963.
    That agreement = the Hotel got the label "Original Sacher Torte" but had to change the recipe, so besides of some small adaptions of their recipe which are "a secret" they started to make it with 2 layers apricot jam as an optical distinctive feature and Demel kept the "original recipe" but had to call it "Eduard Sacher Torte" from now on.
