The video isn't offensive, but it is quite a challenge to read some of the text when it flickers on and off the screen. I needed to watch with the sound off.
The problem with Eurovision is that there can be good singers with bad songs, and good songs with bad singers. Finding the perfect singer/song combination is not easy!

Ok but slovenia is actually very underrated. For me its a sure wualifier and could enter the top 10. Unique song, making ireland potentially flop. She sings awesome and its just catches your sttention and has such an interesting vibe.
Slovenia is almost sure nonq and Ireland will qual. People in general think slovenia is booring and Ireland is exciting, and semis are about tele. Btw there is nowhere in any universe Slovenia hits top 10 in the finals :)

Unpopular opinion (kinda): Austria will not qualify this year. I feel it gonna be another Halo situation where no matter how good the song or staging is their vocals will bring down the energy of the song!
I will be more surprised if Austria DOESNT flop. It is a bit overhyped by the esc bubble but the public at large won't find it that interesting, specially when compared to Italy and Greece. I find its path to success very difficult and unlikely, because the package overall (the song, kaleens vocals etc) arent good enough imo. Belgium is the one that is the least likely to flop from these songs.
If Slovenia has a staging like in music video, it's a qualifier without a doubt. But if it's gonna be like on the prepartirs, it's a definite flop.
Slovenia will not flop - she has the best female vocals in this years competition - the song is strong and with a good staging it should be no problem to get into the Grand Final + get a result in the TOP 15.
Mustii has realised that his song is a slow grower (and I like it just because) and he was trying to involve the crowd by doing too much. I hope he has, in the meantime, realised it is a mistake and will go back to a simpler, more effective performance.
As for the uptempo bops, there are simply to many of them. Cyprus, Austria, Luxembourg, Czechia, Georgia not to mention the boys, Sweden and Lithuania. If Italy (or Greece) makes the mistake of having dancers in their staging even Italy could land into that vibe
I've heard Italy was planning to have dancers on her stage, if you ask me it will work, unless they screw the staging

In Sanremo Angelina managed to fill the stage with her charisma. A choreography, no matter how well done, could detract from the song.
@@idraote it' 50/50: the choreography could give the wow factor or distract from the song, it depends on the idea behind it and on what the viewer would like more. For me it's also a matter of the outfit, because her dancing on her own wearing some sort of a gown, like the one she had in ver videoclip, could turn out very interesting, but if she is going to wear something basic like during the preparties in my opinion it will be missing something. I guess we have to wait and see

Hello this is a message about my feeling about Eurovision and eurofans...
This year I'm very disguted about how the contest AND the community turned.
When I see particulary all the hate about Mustii vocals.
Seriously his vocals are fine but well it's not like the studio BUT most of artist around the world don't sing like their studio version.
You can't say Mustii doesn't sing bad. And those who just comment that to create a vibes of "hate" or "flop" just you are ruining the magic of this contest.
That's why I became less and less fan of the contest...
That's my feeling and I wanted to share you it.
Thank you for sharing, and I feel the same. I only listen to the songs and enjoy the contest, I try to stay away from the social media to keep it fun for me
Does Belgium really have a reputation for bad staging? Imo, the only bad ones were 2018 and 2019. Last year was perfect!
I didn’t like 2022 too tbh, and they could’ve done more in 2017 too although it’s my winner eheh

I think UK will do better than people expect.
In my oppinion the surpise flop will be The Netherlands, i just don't think juries will vote for that dong.
France will be the positive surprise, a hit with juries and doing better than expected with televote
Even if the Netherlands won't receive points from the jury (I don't think they'll do that bad honestly) they'll still do good in televote so this won't be a flop anyway. See Norway last year: very bad with jury, very good with televoting and still ended fifth

I think the Netherlands is going to be another Cha Cha Cha situation. The song is going to bop and it will bop hard. Its got a hook that will get the crowd pumped up. But... is there enough substance in the song to make the juries see the song as a winner. Because what we've seen is just televote isnt enough to win, you have to have a strong jury finish to win, and the televote can be mid to upper tier.
I think Slovenia could be a dark horse actually! It has a huge staging potential and I think it may give them a top 10 result. I must admit this song is so underrated either!

sorry, I think if people pay a lot of money you should give your fans the best performance. Why do others have 100% vocals all the time? I understand that artists get tired, etc. but then you can skip it if you know you can't.

I agree avout Belgium, Austria, Cyprus and UK beucause:
-🇧🇪: well I honestly don't believe he could be a shoking NQ, he still a safe qualifier imo. And about his vocals on the preparty, he seems to have fun and don't take it seriously. However, Idk if the song will be strong enough on stage to stand out so as to get a good placement in the final. Maybe he could finish 11th-16th.
-🇦🇹: I'm not a fan of this entry but I still hope that Austria learned about their 2022 attempt. There are a lot of voice effects in this song and as I expected, the vocals aren't good (but not bad though just ok) and the fact that she will dance on stage could make it worse.
-🇨🇾: I never considered this as a sure qualifier as many. It's not the only girlbop of the 1st semi final and she will open it, so it could be very complicated for her to qualify.
-🇬🇧: just a classic pop song. Nothing particular that could stand out, very mid imo. I don't think that it will be in the bottom 5 but not higher than the 13th-14th i think.

- austria - i just feel like theyll be successful this year, but will need to make sure staging allows for her to sing
- poland - yes, unfortunately. the song itself wouldve done better in jesc
- slovenia - a song that the eurofans enjoy, but the public is unlikely to get into.
- cyprus - not sure tbh, but i think they can definitely qualify
- luxembourg - very low spot in GF or straight up NQ
- uk - a very so-so song which is disappointing for having THE years and years/olly alexander to represent. uk is gonna get drowned in GF

Tbh if this scenario will be so, aiko will sing better than kaleen, which will make her qualify and therefore blows kaleen away in the end making her nq. The songs have similar chances but aiko is improving more so it could be the case.

I have to agree with you on all of these. Belgium is my greatest worry. He's incredibly pitchy live. Which breaks my heart because I really love the song. Austria is still my personal favourite, but just... please Austria. Can we PLEASE have an EDM song that sounds good live? They send Lumix and they fail to qualify. He is an incredible DJ. Kaleen is an amazing dancer, her vocals are really good when the backing track isnt drowning her out. She just doesnt have great vocal projection because of all of the heavy dancing. I know Chanel was able to do the dancing while performing and trained really hard to be able to pull it off... but is Kaleen, Chanel when it comes to dancing while singing? I guess we're going to find out!
Malta🇲🇹 may qualify, she can make an incredible performance and she knows how to sing and dance at the same time😊🇲🇹❤️
I hope UK does good for 2 reasons,:

There is no way Slovenia and Cyprus are flopping. I think they will do relatively well in 12th to 20th place both! We're talking about the final because they're going to go all the way. Possible flop for Norway and Austria😊
Poland has literally Ukraine, UK, Ireland, Germany, Lithuania, Sweden and Iceland on their side (possible high points from diaspora/neighbors voting). For me The Tower is one of the best song from Poland recently.
I'm nervous about Portugal and Slovenia a little bit. Also if Bambie manages, Silia... Australia could suprise...
Internet polls count for little because UA-cam users make geographical arguments and patriotic supporters. The Nordic countries vote for Nordic countries and the Mediterranean countries vote for Mediterranean countries. The only ones that are unpredictable are those from Eastern European countries. To understand the success and popularity of a song, what matters most are the charts on Spotify and the views of the official videos.

Agree about Belgium and Austria. If Mustii doesn't improve his vocals and if the staging is bad, it could even be a surprise NQ. I can see Sennek's situation here. Great song, but bad vocals and staging. And as for Austria, I never understood why there is so much hype around it. The song is kinda outdated, and Kaleen's vocals aren't good either. So I can see this being an unexpected NQ as well. So Austria has the same problems as Belgium.
And as for Poland and Cyprus, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't qualify. And I honestly think they deserve to NQ. Maybe they'll stop sending generic radio pop songs after that. On other hand, the diaspora might help Poland qualify again, just like with Bejba last year...
Also, everyone will kill me for this, but I see Estonia as a shock NQ (and not becaude of Ollie). The song and everything is a huge mess. And if they don't change the staging, they might flop. Why do you all think they're doing well with televote? It could be like France 2022 or even worse

I think Slovenia will qualify. Its too mystical and cool to not qualify for me and Raiven has a great voice. I could see it be in a similar place as Joker out last year. Around the 20th place

I just watched Mustii performing at The Voice Belgique. His voice sounded amazing. Just like in the videoclip and the sneak peak of the staging was AMAZING!!!! Pretty sure he’ll not flop!! :)

Luxembourg is a NQ for me, the song is good but she doesn’t have breath control, and her backup dancers do a lot compared to her, she should change the performance to smth that matches her skill set if she wants to qualify

He is struggling with his Live-Vocals. Now, that's not a new, since he always sounds off-key and wavery Live, but in this song he's not able to meet the final high notes. Others may refer to some protesters outside the London Venue (something political).

You literally listed 4 songs that could flop in semi 1, and there are only 15 songs there, and that includes Iceland and Moldova. I know you aren't expecting "all" of these songs to flop, but at a certain point, some of these songs are guaranteed to qualify based on the songs around them.

Austria was my number 2 last year. The staging was weak.

I think Belgium will qualify and get top top in the end. Mustii can improve in the next 3 weeks.
Austria also will go through. Song itself is enough to pass semi final. She's performing between Czechia and Denmark, so that won't be any challenge for her.
Slovenia will go to the final, without any doubts. Croatia and Serbia will vote for it and actually she has the best spot in semi final. 80% of contestants in semi final 1 went to the final performing 9th.
I've never seen Poland as a qualifier despite Polish diaspora. Song is week and she's performing between Ukraine and Croatia. Luna will need a miracle to pass semi final. Agree for Cyprus. It will be difficult for Silia to pass semi final, because she's opening the show, but I could see her in the final instead of Ireland.
For me, Luxembourg is a sure qualifier, because she's closing semi final and second half of this semi is much weaker than first half.
I've never seen UK neither top 5 nor top 10. In best case he will finish in top 15, but probably top 20, still better than Spain and Germany.
The staging last year was really bad though. They needed a lot more happening on stage
I think switzerland is great, but with a bad staging streak for 2 years, other factors and the casual viewers probably not going to be into it as mcuh as they would italy and croatia, i think they could have a jesc 2023 netherlands moment. everyone predicting them to be the winner and them barely making it to the top 10.
The same person who made Måns' (2015) staging for Heroes and Käärijä's last year is designing Nemo's staging this year, I don't think we need to worry. :)

@@esckrystianochman its been mid for 2 years but as said, kaarija's stage designer is designing their stage this year. Croatia has been getting better at staging the last few years, and Italy usually has some of the best staging

I would rather call for Austria than for Italy...Angelina has a good voice, but the song itself from Austria makes me happy, Italy's song is a well-sung song, but not a song that I like! I'm calling for Kaleen!
Kaleen did not even write the song…if she cannot perform it, what is the point of giving her credit? The Execution is quite relevant in a contest, otherwise I would just listen to the song on Spotify…the reality is that Austria’s entry is good but everything about the execution has been quite underwhelming so far, especially considering that she was sold as a great and experienced professional…there are just better ones that deserve more unless they do a miracle in Malmo
In my opinion this year's results won' t be as good as the majority thinks for countries like:
- Austria (the most overhyped song that will end up around 20 place overall),
- Italy (TOP 10, but not TOP 3)
- United Kingdom (another bottom 5 placement).
BUT I predict only some surprises in May:
- Australia - TOP 15 in Grand Final, mainly because of juries voting;
- Portugal - if they will qualify, I see an Alika's scenario: TOP 5 in jury voting.
- Georgia - not only Grand Final, but also "left side of the scoreboard" result;
How should Australia qualify with only Televoting in the Semi?

honestly, he fills the stage himself damn well, Imho in my opinion he is an example of contestants who are not that reliant on good staging cuz voice, song and stage presence does its job

honestly, it might end up being Ireland - I love Bambie’s song and I want them to qualify (#crownthewitch), but I don’t know how casual viewers will take it (for what it’s worth, though, casual viewers loved Mama ŠČ more than anyone thought, and while the two songs aren’t very similar they do both have a large shock factor)

I'm surprised Greece isn't here. For me the song - especially the chorus is quite annoying. I reckon it'll qualify but in the final it won't score much.

I’m so sorry but Slovenia is not gonna have a hard time to qualify. She has an amazing vocals, and unlike many other artists actually sounds amazing live. Not every country has millions to just lay in the performance, but that does not make a country a potential NQ! So rather criticize singers who actually can’t sing instead of Raiven!😒

Tbh austria screamed flop the first time i heard it. Its catchy, poppy, dancey etc. But it just misses some spark and wow. I never thought they had high chances to qualify and i think they will nq so for me its not a flop as I see/saw it coming but for others it might. I can see czechia qualifying instead. Tbh i dont get why the odds say 18% chance because the song itself is very catchy and a standout as a rock song. The main issue are/were her vocals but improvements have been made and czechia always surprises in the end while austria always disappoints in the end (looking at their past (televoting) results).
The We Will Rave chorus feels annoying for me and the dance break dull but the rest of the music is definitely good. A dull song like Unicorn did well but she may have had a larger fan base.
The Czech song has a very dull chorus, I just did not find it memorable. And traditionally they struggle to qualify.

I totaly agree for Austria because her lives are awfull . Nothing compare to artificial studio version. Except UK , the others are not favourites, so no flops expected !

At least I don't have to worry about Norway in terms of qualifying. They've proven they can perform live and execute the majority of the elements in their studio version.

Seals are wonderful animals that can honk, bark and growl in about every Key imaginable. Should there be moments when Olly’s mic fails, his voice wavers, or when he’s unable to meet that final note, they can dub him and no one will ever know! If this doesn’t take it to Nr. 1 !!! 🏆
regarding Belgium another thing about this is that there is a precedent for Belgium flopping with a similar song. Will they repeat their blunders or was it just A Matter of Time?
