Thanks for your question and it's a good one. I don't have access to the Stryd algorithm so it's a question for them. But there is definitely AI learning in terms of how it stores runs to build up a picture of your running attributes. If I'd guess I would say it does factor in gender, age and then builds up a picture based on your training and racing. Weight is a key factor in the calcs because watts per kilo is a key consideration of what you can do over different race distances.
Yes it's easy to set up. Pairs easily. Just a case of deciding a few settings. I've got Stryd calculating pace and distance and found it to be very accurate.
@@krruns4165 Sorry. I just can't find a simple answer to a question before deciding to buy the Stryd pod no matter where I look. I have a Garmin Fenix 6 sapphire. Will I still be able to use the GPS bactrac feature,. that shows me the way back to my start.. thank you
Although I cannot be 100% sure I do believe your normal GPS features will be unaffected by using Stryd. It takes a bit of tinkering to get things set up. I use Stryd for pace and distance but the GPS still works for maps etc... The Stryd customer services are very good if you want to get in touch with them to be sure.
Great. Thanks
It’s interesting that the Stryd calculations already match what you know from your years of training. Do they also calculate in age and experience?

Did you find it easy to set up and pair with your watch (garmin/Apple?) and Strava Kev?

I fell asleep
Thanks a lot for the comment. Much appreciated!
