doing a 3 day trip to Lake Barkley in August... Jugging Blues in the day, Limbing for Flatties at night, and Night Crappie fishing while i wait.... how does that sound :)
Tad poles are nothing new to me however, they are not always in that stage unless it’s cold water with no sun. Catalpa worms, worms also catch Crappie. Hooking a minor by the tail gives the bait more live action that through the lips which is similar to how you hooked your tadpole.
Trolling for Crappie very slow, you put your poles in the back of your boat. branching out like spider legs... i personally use just a few poles with a Alabama rig set up... 3 hooks per pole with jigs or live bait trolling super slow
Great job guys, and thanks to Vince for sharing his secrets!! Awesome content. Sometimes I think you've reached your pinnacle on information but seems like every episode you have game changers and or useful info, keep it up please.
We fished the entire night with submerged lights. After about 3am you could actually pick up hands full of shad. It honestly was a little scary

Guess I'll be trying some tadpoles out. Seams everyone in the crappie world is laid back and willing to help. Thanks, guys.
Thanks
We used tadpoles for the last 50+ years. Use the bigger ones and the small ones.
The minnow is a brook silverside.
Thanks fo the nfo
I am in North Texas and we use inland siversides. We sein them in the sandy areas of the lake.
Pretty sure the cigar minnows are silver sides. Our dnr biologist stocks them in public waters
Maaan makes sense to me.....baby crawfish may work too. Honestly haven’t used shiners much at all since I got the scope.
We call them Hitch in California... CLEAR LAKE,CA
When will u allow viewers to call in with questions
We call those cigar minnows Ghost Minnows
I’d like to talk to that fellow, is that possible?
