Interesting review. I do agree with most of what you said. I think one of the biggest problems with Wish is the fact is how heavily it relies on easter eggs to previous movies to make the audience pay attention, especially kids. Asha’s “friends” hardly actually appear in the movie or have any significance aside referencing the seven dwarves. Most of them are forgettable or flat out annoying. I don’t even get the importance of Asha’s family when both characters hardly appear after the first scene with them, as her grandfather’s wish isn’t actually granted, and we don’t know about her mother’s wish either, let alone what happened to her dad. Valentino is one of the most annoying characters ever, I honestly don’t get why Disney had to make him talk just to give him deep voice jokes and wish for “an animal metropolis” to reference Zootopia when he’s a baby goat that doesn’t know ANYTHING, let alone those words. And Star? All I’m going to say is I wish (haha, get it?) Disney would’ve stuck with the original concept of Star and Asha being a couple and Star is actually a shapeshifter who challenges Magnifico specifically. And yes, Amaya was an unimportant character. She was actually supposed to be a villain too, I don’t get why Disney stupidly changed her to a “holier than thou art” character. What if she was the true villain of Wish and Magnifico was the “flashy toy” being used by his wife, only to reveal she’s the actual villain who’s maybe a wicket fairy-godmother or something, trying to justify why she doesn’t grant certain wishes, but its all a matter of being in power and not caring about the wellbeing of Rosas. Also a sidenote, why is the kingdom called Rosas if roses have nothing to do with it??

The emblem of the city is a rose but yes, as a city named Rosas one should think there would be roses everywhere in every shape and colors
