My question....is Oud Wood really as an absymal performer (as perceived by the wearer) as it seems to be or is the scent picked up in the air by others? I have a 2022 bottle and the scent seems to almost disappear after an hour with only slight remnants of the scent on the skin. I refuse to believe that a $300 fragrance can be so weak. I prefer to believe that I am anosmic to the scent after a short period of time.
Jacques Bogart "One Man Show" is marketed to the masses even available at Walmart. Even Dossier has a pretty good replica of "Oud Wood". Some people like paying for the name (Tom Ford) I guess. Bud you go on about the oud where they use a little real and then the rest synthetic, its the same with Egyptian cotton sheets, there's a long hard road to get real extra long staple cotton Egyptian. You need to go to Sferra or Frette from Italy. I have both and believe me there is a huge difference and it costs big money, but of course for me it doesn't
I thought about the oud in Oud Wood as much as I thought about it in Oud Minerale. -which is to say, not at all. Tbh, after the anticipation of, and after the first sniff, I forgot the "oud" completely and just marvelled at the scents, in part because there was _zero_ oud smell to be found, and partly because these frags were beautiful anyway. ...I'm done with it now though. Oud for me is an adventure, not a trend. I want the skank of India, the sweetness of Cambodia and everything in between. That's why I don't take Western "oud" perfumes seriously anymore, and I sure as h311 am not paying through the nose for them anymore. -because, besides for a very few, they don't exist. If I'm going to pay 5tup1d money, I'm buying attars & real oud frags from Bortnikov, Jazeel etc.

My favourite topic: Oudh.Whats your opinion on oudh infini ?
Love it....have a travel size bottle... 9 ml or whatever it is .. thats enough for me.. i dont need a full bottle ... but really glad to have tried it & experienced the fragrance 🍻
Have you've done a This Is Not Sandalwood yet?
No... i was thinking about doing a woody episode... like for example a sandalwood / Cedar / Guaic Wood episode or something like that... what do you think??
@@RamseytheRam I was just watchng a channel here on UA-cam called oud Base. Good guy. He just uploaded what is an attar? An attar originally had sandalwood in the base. Neat huh. Feel Oud has mysore sandalwood for sale. I think 1 gram is 30. Shipping from Feel Oud is kinda expensive. Talk to Russian Adam. Get some mysore or some oud chips things like that. Have Russian Adam and Demirty do a Live Chat with you. Have the gentleman from Oud Base come do a live chat. Have Taha from Agar Aura do a live chat. Sultan Pasha too. Have them all on at once.Go follow Oud Base. His family has been doing distribution of perfume and oils for a long time. I'm telling you you're well respected and Russian Adam enjoys your reviews.
Anyways, I think doing a wood episode would be great. I think I have some older samples from Ensar and Taha etc that I can send you. I gotta go through the boxes through Ramsey. Ohh, I have older Sultan Pasha samples too. Yes, do a Wood epi
Most oud fragrance i like which comes with oud in the ingredient and not named as an oud in the label
Thanks for watching & commenting Ali 🍻
My wife’s favorite fragrance on me is Richard Herpin’s Oud Wood!
My wife loves it on me as well 😂😂😂
@@RamseytheRam When I first met my wife in '09 I was wearing Tom Ford Oud Wood...We got married in 2010. We've been married over 12 yrs.. She still loves the smell of my skin with Oud Wood!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching & commenting 🍻
@@RamseytheRam you are the best❤
It's so good that I've got a very big collection and to this day I wear it going out with my wife anywhere and I'd at least have one person that nite besides my wife would say what are you wearing NO shit"" I'm into my 2nd 100ml of it and I own over 300+ bottles of some of the best niche and designer available been into this game since the 80s but ya its awsome
People do love the stuff I must admit... thanks for watching & commenting John 🍻
Every perfume connoisseur knows that Initio's Oud for Greatness is the finest oud fragrance on the market 😉.
😂😂😂
Clearly the finest "oud" fragrance on the market lol
Bud you go on about the oud where they use a little real and then the rest synthetic, its the same with Egyptian cotton sheets, there's a long hard road to get real extra long staple cotton Egyptian. You need to go to Sferra or Frette from Italy. I have both and believe me there is a huge difference and it costs big money, but of course for me it doesn't
😂😂😂
Master sheet hunter too I see 😂😂😂
I thought about the oud in Oud Wood as much as I thought about it in Oud Minerale.
Well said Solaris 🌞
Probably you will offend a lot of lovers of Tom Ford 😂
That's okay 🤷🏻♂️
I am good at that lol
I think Oud Wood is just OK. Definitely not my favorite Tom Ford or favorite Oud scent. But everyone has a different perception.
Thanks so much for sharing & for watching & commenting... I wont be replacing the oud wood bottle when its gone...unless I stumble across a vitnage gold label 😊
@@RamseytheRam What do you think of Creed Royal Oud, other than it obviously not having a prominent oud accord? Just curious.
Edit: Nevermind, I watched the rest of the video. I like Royal Oud too.
Toe oud

English 🦆toe oud harvested at the peak season to give off that toe oud smell 😂😂😂
