      Absolutely agree, no comparison. One time we were camping and I ran out of pickles and I had to go (gasp!!) grab some from a store near we were camping and it was SO disappointing haha :)

      Oh how disappointing. I hope you'll have a bumper crop next year. This year was opposite year for my garden- everything that did well last year didnt do as well this year, and everything that didnt do as well last year did AWESOME this year!

    I need to have my wife watch this video too, we haven’t canned pickles ever. We can a lot of other stuff from our garden, and eat our cukes fresh in a creamy pickle sauce which we like.

      I love Mustard Pickles.
      Not sure if you guys have them, but it's a thing here in Australia for as long as I can remember, that ham sandwiches at functions, on planes, at wakes, wherever, will have mustard pickles spread on one side of the bread.
      Hated it all my like and I know put them on ham sandwiches every time.

    Interesting item, I never know how to do pickles. I learn from you, might I should do practicing with my cucumber . Can we use the normal vinegar ? You have good 2 helpers . Oh.. Need to have a bottle that can go in the oven. LOL..I'm not sure it will be easy for me. But When I go to visit my relative in Canada, definitely I will let them teach me this pickles ..Good video

      Nope dont use normal vinegar, definitely use pickling vinegar. Most things that are canned need to be in glass jars :)

    Such an easy recipe! I’ve never done pickles but will try eventually. Would they turn out the same if you sliced them instead of keeping them whole?

      Hey Lisa!! Yes they turn out the same if you slice them, you dont have to keep them whole. I, in fact, did some that were sliced too :) Let me know if and when you make pickles! :)

    Okay so possible dumb question here - does this mean they are canned? So what would the shelf life be? Or after a month do they need to go in the fridge? I’ve only hot water bath canned before and lots to learn! These do look easy and I feel like I can do these! Thank you for sharing! 😊👍

      Yes they are absolutely canned, and seal as if they are canned, and have an extended shelf like similar to anything else (years).
      I found a jar from 2018 (oops!) And it was crunchy and delicious and just like new!

      Yes you can use white vinegar; sugar is used to balance the vinegar and add taste, but there are recipes out there without sugar for sure.
