Rubin Hurricane Carter is my favourite FIGHTER ever, he was the hardest puncher in his division and to this day he is still only a little underrated along with his fellow middleweight opponents, but only thanks to his conviction and Denzel Washington. I've studied this man so closely, he is my true HERO, I've read the newspaper articles online from the '60's. In Rubin's younger days he would not be so fond of the Greatest Muhammad Ali. Rube thought Ali was not champion material because of the way he conducted himself outside of the ring, but always gave Ali his props as a fighter, he thought he was a very good one. I have a suspicion that some of his disliking may have came from Rubin's love for Sonny Liston, after all he was Ali's rival. Liston would take Rubin Carter under his wing as a young middleweight contender, and Hurricane would take a lot of pride in being dubbed the miniature Sonny Liston in looks and background. But as we see and hear right here, The Hurricane always does the right thing in the end, and that is what is so beautiful and loveable about HURRICANE CARTER. Thank you for uploading this.
Yeah well Ali wasn't allowed to fight for three years for avoiding the draft too it was speculated he may have been jailed for that too I think maybe he had to pay a fine instead.
