Interesting
Hey man! I recently read Torrance’s Christian doctrine of God and I had a question you might be able to answer. Torrance uses the term “enhypostatic” to refer to the Holy Spirit at times and I’m not sure how to understand it since I thought that enhypostatis specifically referred to the topic of the hypostatic union. Thanks a lot !
I'd have to see the context to know for sure, but I would think Torrance is probably referring to Christ's baptism in the Spirit on our behalf, vicariously. What Christ does "in" (en) our flesh, he does for our sakes. So, his baptism in the Spirit is vicarious. Does that seem accurate to the context? I don't have that book in front of me, but I can take a look when I get home.
Enjoyed this thankyou
Thanks for watching, Ron!
