The Security Door unlock sound is so damn satisfying, especially when unlocking your first door. That feeling of knowing that you're finally free to explore everything in the game is superb.
Seriously, this game is all good but the lack of a map or any directing system. I know it's the dark soul style, but man this is like a steel maze with so many identical structures.
I pent 5 hours on that first door trying to find some kind of damn security card or something. Had no clue that i would have NEVER gotten in there unless i came here and looked. :/
Thank you for the video. I'm in NG+ and was trying to decide whether I wanted to go back and unlock all the security doors again. I forgot from the first playthru if there was anything worth going back for.
I just went through the same thing, but I had actually remember already opened it when going through it the first time. Idk if a patch changed this or what
I noticed at the very start of the video that the other security chest (containing GM Centurion weapon) next to the security rig upgrade is closed for you too. I have seen it open in other videos. Any idea if there is another power conduit or if its just a bug it didn't open?
you have to overcharge 30 pipe in a server room (door to the left of big gates guarded by two cerberus). Then lockdown will be lifted, and back in ops the weapon will be unlocked
R&D Take the Shortcut from Exhibition Floor Ops on the right (the one into Ventilation) and follow the path until you come to 2 Exo Lifts and a opened shortcut door between em. That area you had to clear to unlock that shortcut (entered by the exo lifts) is unmapped area.
For those wondering in the future, this is right after the Big Sister (the giant with tentacles with laser beams boss) where you felt down from the collapsed ventilation shaft.
I've beaten the game and now I'm on the restart so do I have to go all the way through the game AGAIN to open the doors or can I just wear something and go right in?
@@MARTINREN1231 Old, but the spectre bite weapons emit useful light around you. I didn't have a rig first time through and could pretty easily make my way through with just it.
If you mean the one between about 6-9 mins in the video, its in RnD. Head back to big sister boss and you can get in by falling through the hole again. It unlocks a weapon just outside the med-bay in a display case like the exo upgrades.
There's a train station you can get to by using the elevator in the poison hallway on floor 2 not far from the med-bay, if I remember correctly. For that, you either need to go straight out of the med-bay where the reviving enemy stands and enter the vent to the left and go right in the hallway or it was that path where you need to go through that room with the two other spinning enemies, straight left of the hall where the med-bay is. Sry, can't describe it any better and don't want to google the enemy names, also, I dunno if you need to activate the elevators first, that bring you to the train station. But you'll see you're heading the correct way as soon as you see a security guard and one of those security hounds in front of you that aren't facing you. Maybe I'll try to find it again, but I just made my way back to the earlier levels to get everything I still missed.
ah k i didnt think of that, i found him more of an issue than thhe mech tho, that thing was a joke bust one leg knock it over and in 1 full stam cycle just bust its entire hp bar, it was the bosses tripple hit combo that got me cause i dont run a high hp high armor, i just dash jabbed him todeath cause i use the security lance thing the grunt carry, so it was like a stab 1 2 attack pattern
yeah? i found her fairly easy for some reason i was just careful about hher welder limbs other than that she broadcasted every single attack like she was a creo radiostation
After you kill the black Cerberus you go back to ops and the glass cases on the left right when you enter should open hit the glass vuala you got the exo rig then you can open the security doors

The Surge is such an awesome game tht is HEAVILY slept on.

i like that the areas aren't overly big though NG+ i was familiar enough to know where i was going NG++ will be a breeze

that is weird the security door at resolve chemical refinery was all ready open and had nothing in the room so i got screwed out of two implants

You can find that weapon on the ground in the nucleus, if you missed the conduit.
Where's the unmapped area again? Is that the one before the research and development area?
The unmapped area door sucks, I have no idea where that is or how to get there....

the power plant is dark AF when i got there the first time. Its so dark i can only see where the flashlights from the rig is pointing at
Try tinkering with your TV's / Monitor brightness settings
i tried increasing the brightness but the red lighting from the roof isn't there for me. Its dark AF even when i max the brightness lol

So you show us how to get to all of them until 6:33 then we just have to figure it out ourselves.....?

Have you defeated The Boss in the Armory yet? There is an Overcharge conduit in the room behind him that unlocks it.

After you kill the black Cerberus you go back to ops and the glass cases on the left right when you enter should open hit the glass vuala you got the exo rig then you can open the security doors
I'm pretty sure you missed the doors in Resolve Biolabs, the sewers under the greenhouses....
