Istanbul's modern financial districts and historical neighbourhoods are extremely impressive with a healthy mix of modern, ultra modern and traditional architecture. The old shanties are bad, but it is good to know many of them are now in the process of being redeveloped.

I stayed in Istanbul for about five days in June 2019, but because the temperature was too high and all the signs in underground train stations are written in Turkish, therefore, I could not explore all districts of Istanbul. I only visited Hagia Sofia, Blue Masjid, Grand Bazaar, Bhasphorus, and that Mall in Sissly area. Also, many many yellow cab (Bitaksi) drivers in Istanbul are scammer and two drivers robbed more than $40 USD from me right after I arrived in Istanbul..ass holes! I would like to request the mayor of Istanbul to place signs in English on all underground train stations and tram atations plus printed maps should be available for passengers at clerk's booth on all train stations.
