Great vid Steve. Bad signings have bitten us badly. We've known for ages that we needed a "Rodri" replacement as cover (before ge got injured), and none of Kovacic, Nunes or Philips were the right signings. Kova is OK as back up, but he isn't a top class holding midfielder. Sad thing is that Lavia is better than any of the above 3. We lost Palmer, Delap, Mahrez and Alvarez, and re-signed Gundo after letting him go when he was still decent. That season he spent in La Liga has cost him massively, and now he's back with us and looking like an also-ran - little better than Philips, and on a par with the lightweight Nunes. Kova is slightly better, but still lacking when we come up against the best - and he can't do it on his own. Doku and Savinho have promise but delivery is awaited. Shame about Bobb.
It's incredibe that we're in 2nd place - and I do trust in Pep, but, if he can get us any silverware this season, it will be his best achievement.
2 weeks to turn it round. Come on Pep; come on City!

Completely agree. We do need proven match winners & younger players who can be with Manchester City for long term. For me this season has been very underwhelming due to injuries, aging players & lack of leadership. So far only few of our players have been good enough such as Haaland, Nunes, Savinho, Diaz & Stones. Fair enough performance from Gvardiol, Foden & Kovačić. Doku & Grealish have been mostly unavailable. Not happy from performances from Rico Lewis, Gundogan, Silva. Not sure about injuries of KDB. If he will really make difference. Interesting we lost to Brighton after substitutes to KDB & Silva replacement of Savinho & Gundogan.

Sorry for the long message Steve but I feel the need to mention the fans again cos it really did make me proud the fans all clapping the boys off at Brighton and that’s just what every blue should be feeling in unity right now and is older generation is responsible for keeping this togetherness as it’s most important factor that we can do in having them understand us older fans ethos about never taking anything for granted and not to implode when things have a turn for the worse such as this bad run of form right now with all that’s going on so we for sure don’t need a divide in the fan base that’s the first priority here always and it’s better the club grows of course but it’s the older fans jobs right now to keep those new fans level headed and grounded as big Erl said “Stay humble” cos we don’t for one iota want to be a fan who assumes we have a divine right to be dining at the top table all the time cos that’s not going to happen and we don’t need to be having hissy fits every time the team loses a few games or has a bad run of form whilst not thinking or taking into account injuries being a big factor first which every club has this problem from time to time and yes it’s not ideal and frustrating cos the performances are massively impacted from this and yet some fans really overview this and start to assume it’s specific players not having their full minds in the game or something else making one think that’s the reason maybe when in all truth 4 games in 13 games all away from the Etihad and over 5k miles travelling with a depleted squad and then rotation more difficult not to mention an ageing midfield of players that’s fit and returning players from injury not to mention a young academy player making his league debut at a club who’s had a weeks rest at home and in good form was always going to be a tough test for city and I knew it after the saint home game struggles that city was not playing well and this next 4 games would be the test that if we came out of it with anything better than we have then we was getting nearer to being in the right place and then go on from their and start to push on this season however my thoughts proved to be correct and I never thought I’d be saying this but I’m pretty sure like me the clubs happy theirs an international break now cos the team needs it big time and this short break is good for the club to try and gather their thought’s combined together and work this mini blip out and I’m positive we will be sound and in the mix come next May..
20/21 season city had 20 points at this stage and won the league..
In 21/22 we had 21 points and we won the league..
This season we have 23 points and the teams in demise and the wheels have come off..
What’s happened to city is it cos peps not made his mind up and the players have let their concentration drop and the collectiveness has gone even some fans saying peps lost the dressing room
“REALLY BLUES,HEAD WOBBLE TIME IF YOU THINK THIS HONESTLY YOU COULD’NT BE MORE WRONG”, injuries are always going to happen at some point in time and this season it’s city’s turn sadly that’s really all it is but nether the less rite city off at you’re perils cos they will be back bigger and stronger than ever soon..
I’ve had my season ticket since 1987 and seen my fair share of the ups and downs but hardly any downs at all these days not in the last decade or so anyway and we’ve never seen the likes of the last 15 years anyway which is why we’re having this minor issue today with blue fans of young and old per-say and what I’d really never want to change is the fans of any age not having a unity supporting city and all fans should be aware of where we’ve come from and what we like to think this club is as a whole and that’s one big massive blue family first and foremost which is what I’ve only ever known as a city fan is it’s a proper family club in comparison to our bitter neighbours imploding daily on social media and the radio and a vast reason for this is at how well city is doing on the other side of Manchester and also cos their fan base doesn’t know any better themselves still that they should be at the top even over a decade after they last was their fan base is toxic and still demands that they should be and that’s precisely what us older fans do not want one jot at fifty we won’t to understand the bigger picture and keep this fan base to stay respectful in defeat and have that notion that winning is never a given and in defeat we still clap our team off as that’s what you should always do if you’re a fan it’s just what’s expected off you following city..
Take the Brighton game for example the away fans clapped the team off even after losing 4 on bounce..
Had this been at the Etihad the stadium would of been almost empty before full time and this is for other reasons as much as fans not happy but it would be nice to see the fans that are at home games till final whistle give the team a clap off cos they more than deserve it blues and as I say unity bring rewards always you just have to feel it and it comes to you I promise..
As long as the younger generation of fans can appreciate that the bad times could always be just around the corner and anything can happen at any time as that’s football so the older generation having envisaged this we still never take anything for granted ever even when city’s winning consistently as it never leaves you but when one has never experienced it then it’s far more difficult to accept and the temptation not to implode isn’t as easy to remain tight lipped keeping their thoughts they have to them selves instead and that’s the big challenge for the older fans now and if we achieve this then our jobs done.
The reason is that it’s common knowledge that blues fans are already imploding and sprouting their dismay for all to hear and things will turn toxic in a heart beat of this continues that’s a fact I’ve seen it happen numerous times over the decades for many fickle fan bases of mainly the red media bias 3 clubs we all know who they are and the last thing we need is Man City becoming one of those sets of fan bases as I’d like to think we’re far better than that and yes we can have the smugness when we’re winning all the time but remaining humble to will always win over always trust cos being delusional and bitter towards opponents is not a good trait to have and more often than not that will come back to bite you more often than not that’s called karma and trust me it very much is real imo and this is when rival fans despise you even more as a result and I like to feel city fans are far better than to stoop to their level so sticking together in unity and one voice is by far a better chance of success and this steely attitude and respect will only rejuvenate the squads spirits tenfold..
This also builds the players morals up even higher as a result if they see this and yes many of them do read and view social media so the less bad publicity for the club the better things will be especially as the clubs already got the whole league against us right now with the ongoing legal hearing so the less the fans do to attract public attention the better in the long run as I see it and I hope we remain this way for ever if possible cos trust me blues this as I know it has and hopefully always will be a family club and this family club will prevail always I’m almost certain of it and if we remain all as one i’m sure we will come out of this blip smelling of roses..
It’s imperative though that firstly for this to happen we all must remain grounded, level headed and most importantly be respectful and if we can all achieve this then Man City and it’s fan base can achieve anything 💙💙

Brighton changed tactics and their configuration in the attack with 3 (or even4) mid-fielder staying right in front of our defense line. Essentially, They (Brighton) played with no mid-field when attacking with their defenders keep passing to the mid-fielders through the center (good 20-30 meter long passes). That forced Walker to stay closer to the center and opened up spaces on wings. Their tactics worked almost perfectly and we were not bale to deal with that. Yes, a goal or two from Savinho/Haaland in the first half put the game to rest. But, this never happened.

We not thriving but we surviving. We are still in it for now. What worries me though is weve been in decline in defense since last year. 1 chance = 1 goal for our opponents while we had 60+% possession, a ton of chances missed. We can't continue like that at both ends. I feel like once pep declares his intention either way there will be some settling. We seem to be restless at the moment.

The thing is mate before the mass injury list they were carrying injuries or niggles some of them, as for signings we deffo need a DM or CM who can play DM well, as for the back line Livramento would be a great signing at RB or my old man had a great shout and said Lamptey from Brighton doesn't seem to get much of a look in now. Next summer for me there's gotta be a big revamp of players regardless what some of the boys have done for us and I think Viana will sort that right out. What we've also got to remember is Rodri isn't going to be the player he was for at least a full calendar year so it's not just a temp DM we need, we need one for the future.

Pep doesn't like to lose, he chose the smaller squad to work with. Pep will not down tools. For what it's worth we own Perrone 1 year in la Liga, now in Serie A who didn't look out of place on tour this summer as did Callum Doyle , on loan at Norwich 1 goal 5 assists in 15 games this year(thanks Google). For a punt for excitement purposes only Reigan Heskey 17 on Jan 19, who is scoring for fun even against Men's team in EFL cup, he's got an eye for goal and isn't intimidated by the age difference. And our Ladies are flying.

Big Up Big Steve 🩵💙💪👊... it's nice to see you again buddy... and this time too we are defeated... it's four in a row... the problem is evident... we are too vulnerable behind... our defense is no longer able to block shots... or counter opposing attacks... sometimes they seem listless on the pitch... the day before yesterday... with the four-man defense, we managed to avoid the worst for the first half... but in the second we were unable to remain solid... and the rout of the match went into our hands. at Brighton... what I wonder... we have reached the national break... but what Pep must do... is invent new tactics and find a new way to make our players perform at their best... the situation has become urgent. .. I believe in Pep and my team 🩵💙... we will be able to study the various errors (even individual ones which usually cost us business on the pitch)... and be able to change them over time... in the short term... even though the situation isn't under control at the moment... we'll be able to get out of the difficulties guys... we'll be back 🩵💙💪👊

We all know what's going on , Steve. Lots of people in the media are trying to play down the injury problems and some are simply naming the players and the bench without mentioning them at all so that they can turn a drama into a crisis. We have lost just 2 league games and each by only one goal, both to teams in great form at the moment and both on their own ground and not ours. We have also played exceptionally well during some of the 4 losses but then fallen away badly after the first half. With better protection of the defence from midfield and some more pace from the midfield, the goals at both ends of the pitch should change.

I feel like we've gradually got weaker over the past couple of years because of our transfers (Haaland apart) we are basically minus Walker, Laporte, Mahrez, Gundogan, KDB, Alvarez and those who have come in are not up to that standard yet. I didn't expect to win the league last season tbh. It's a period of change and I think it will take 18 months to get back to that standard so just enjoying the football with less pressure and expectation. But having supported City for 48 years I still remember when I would've been happy with 1 League Cup.

I'm not worried it's the transition we all knew was coming but it's arrived earlier then expected the old guards legs are going and the young ones just need more guidance. Everyone gets onto savinho, Doku and Grealish at times and I get that but I'm sorry we need proper full backs that do overlaps instead of going inside. This would help them wingers even more to do their thing. Peeps won't like my suggestions but Robinson from Fulham would be perfect or the full back from Bournemouth forgot his name and even semeyo as a winger would do bits at city. He's done more then our wingers last season and this one so far. As for the player from Spain zubi he won't come manny it's not hotter enough lol I think either buy this yute from atlanta or get Douglas luiz on loan till the summer. Easy Big Steve, Brother i commented on one of your tiktok videos telling you that your downfall begins this 2025. Majority of your squad are old players and pep will soon leave and we all saw what happen to man united when Sir Alex left, when that squad needed a rebuild of young players, but fergie never did that before he left. Pep might leave at the end of this season, and with the old squad you have right now the new manager needs to rebuild because those players will retire soon... Brother everything in this life will come and go, you have enjoyed under this Pep era, there will come a day you will never be challenging or win a Premier league again.... You love predicting other teams future now i will predict your own clubs future, man city will finish 3rd this season and next season you guys will finish 5th. HOLD THAT

In Julian Alvarez's two years at City he scored 40 goals and we won 6 titles with him. There is our difference now.
