I love how this is technically a comeback win
The Rangers' relief pitcher earned a save as well - because he did three innings of work (even though he entered the game at 14-3)
@@magpieram It would have been pretty bad if he blew that save lol
And Texas rallies back to edge out a very close 30-3 victory
Kinda like the Texan vs Chiefs NFL game from this year.
Technically a "Comeback"
@@magpieram Incorrect. If the lead is over 3 runs, you don't get credited with a save. Trust me.
Who changed the difficulty to rookie?
lol!!!!!
+randomhumor1 lol
With contact and power sliders up to max
+Andrew Behrend lewl. I do that all the time
No, when your 6 and your dad lets you win a baseball game
Imagine playing for Baltimore, being up by 3, then losing by 27 runs
And then after this historic shelling, turning around, and immediately playing another game
Or having money on them.
Markakis helped contribute to one of the Orioles' 3 runs that game. He's still in the league...imagine the nightmares he got from that game
@@BGYMix Markakis retired today
@@abrahamterry9445 I heard the news
Imagine players in other games glancing at the out of town scoreboard like "...What?"
LOL
A few scoreboard operators were fired that day, only to be hired back the next day with a raise and a formal apology letter from the owner!
Good one, richie bitchie!
They'd probably just assume that there's a mistake.
Lol
They were down 3-0 and they needed to come back
This comment has +30 thumbs ups.... Not ruining it.
As an added bonus, one of the Rangers' relief pitchers got credited with a save.
xof49 ^hahahaha that was a good one.
Yup so they put on their x10 multiplier
lmfao
Some interesting facts about this game.
1: All 30 runs were earned
2: The Rangers used 2 pitchers
3: The 2nd Pitcher, Wes Littleton earned a save as he wasn't the winning pitcher and pitched the last 3 innings
4: This was the 1st game of a single admission doubleheader. The Rangers came from behind to win game 2, 9-7. That game took longer than this one.
5: Numbers 8 & 9 in the Rangers order had 14 RBIs
6: Every Rangers hitter got a hit
7: The Rangers lineup as a whole had a batting average over .500
8: The Rangers used 1 pinch hitter, he hit the 2nd Grand Slam.
9: The Orioles didn't get an out at first the entire game.
That’s incredible. #’s 5&8 are insane. #4 is hilarious.
#9 is one of the craziest stats I've ever heard. Throw a sinker
Pinch hit grand slams are rare
You deserve a round of applause and a beer
I'm sure all 10 people in the crowd were really upset.
I believe that was the first game of a doubleheader so of course the attendance would be bad since the originally schedule date was cancelled. Plus we average more fans for a weekday game than your Rays do on weekends. So...
Noah Penrod Dude that's awesome. Good for you.
failtolawl Oh yes, I was very upset
failtolawl just like the Lightning fans who lost the Stanley Cup.
+Gameshowboy 92 yeah sell out crows are 10 people lmao tampa fans aren't butt hurt get over the fact that yeah chicago won and no tampa fans are butt hurt to fill your twisted egos lol its hilarious seeing chicago fans trying to bring it up like we're gonna get mad lmao
I remember watching this game on TV -- I fell asleep on the couch when it was 5-3 and when I woke up it was 24-3. I thought I was tripping.
Lol
Dud I was tripping and fell asleep and woke up and said " sh1t life is like a trip".
backspace4353 im dead
Zach Good same dude it still hasnt registered that they scored 30 and im in 2017. Half the line-up isn't in the majors anymore
That Germany Brazil World Cup match, I went to take a shit, fell asleep on the toilet forabout 10 min (no joke I have a bad habit of chilling on the can) and the score was 5-0
Look, I think the rangers might have broken the "unwritten rule".
yep, pitchers are babies.
they should write them fuckers down if they're so important
As a rangers fan I don’t care that tatis swung on 3-0
Lol yeah
Yep
Some say they're still scoring to this day.
The legends are true
LOL!

"The paper says my ERA was 3.00 that game. Pretty good".

I don't understand why he got flak for it. He's an inspiration for the next generation of ballplayers
I never cared for this "rule". If you get a hittable pitch, you're going to swing at it.
If you got real passion for baseball you’re gonna bomb a 3-0 pitch with the bases loaded obviously the rangers were salty pricks grown men crying like little girls
@@cavemanrissy4801 well they're getting intense karma for it. Losing 6 in a row
So did the Orioles score 28 in the bottom of the ninth for a comeback win?
of course not
Yes they did.

They got more runs than outs that game.

2007 was a year to forget for Orioles fans....3 reasons why:
1: Mother's day miracle, where the Red Sox scored 6 runs in the 9th to beat the Orioles at Fenway Park in May
2: Rangers scoring 30 runs against Baltimore in August
3: Clay Buchholz throws a no hitter against the Orioles in September.
Don't forget 69-93 and 4th place in the division...
***** I'm an O's fan. I was at the game last night... What was wrong with the Yankees?
Alex McCann Don't forget reason #4: Orioles
dude the orioles crushed the red sox in 2015 the orioles had like 20 points
Nathan Frain points?
I really enjoyed the part where the Rangers scored.
Man than you watched the wrong game. JK

I've got familiar with Baseball like just a month or two ago. It isn't being played almost at all in my country... I guess mostly because I live in Europe. I would like to play some baseball but sadly there isn't a field in my town :)
I don't know anything about the teams playing in the MLB but I sure do enjoy watching a good game, no matter who's playing :)
As I said I learned the basic rules of the game not more than a couple of months ago. Baseball is much more complicated than most of the people think. Love it! It's beautiful and entertaining game :)
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language :))
e36bg glad you're learning it and enjoying it! I've hardly watched any Hockey, or (Soccer) most my life, but i enjoy both, especially hockey now
I hear the Netherlands has a league that plays baseball. It is just minor league level play but it probably is a lot of fun. I love minor league baseball
Ivaylo Tsanev god bless texas
Orioles fans are just like, "But was it a shutout?"
Haha
"Excuse me, but who scored first in that game?"
+gooberdude2 orioles
+gooberdude2 It doesn't matter. The score doesn't matter in the 1st inning, it doesn't even matter in the 8th. The score only matters at the end of the 9th.
+PwN Mamba lighten up man xD
Damn they were down 3-0.......so this is the greatest comeback of all time? Hahahaha
soccerlover1598 The most impossible comeback to blow at least
Dem0litionB1rD I think if they had Tanner Scheppers back then come on it would have been 30-29
@crysisxforce u watchin the yankees destroy the rangers too?
Nadeshit I couldn't take it, So I came here to drown the pain.
soccerlover1598 they could have been down 29-0 and won
Throughly dominant effort by the Cowboys in a 30-3 rout of the Ravens
Their air attack was on display in this one.. Vertical routes all day
With only one slip up by Romo giving up one interception but the Dallas line kept the ball in place with phenomenal performance from Tyrone Crawford this drive and the whole game and gave up only one field goal from the 33 yard line but the three sacks help fans forget about losing the shutout. Join John Lynch and Trent Green for an exclusive interview in the postgame show here on WFAA ABC. Goodnight, Dale Hansen.
+Mario Ayala Romo completes 75% of his passes throwing for 500 yards, 5 TDs and an INT. A long run by Forsett set up a Ravens field goal for their only points
Yeah they were streaking the receivers, lot of verticals
+David Leland did the kicker miss 5 extra points
Rangers: How many runs do you want us to score
Coach: Yes
Brian if you want to sound smart, then at least spell dialogue right.
Obi-Wan Kenobi both are accepted spellings...
The rangers can just choose how many runs they want to score??? Dang, might become a Rangers fan now.
Wow some guy got his ass kicked on mlb the show.

I didn't get it at first
Hahaaaa that's hilarious
What....?
Love how the Baltimore Crowd was cheering for the Rangers at the end.
This was a Historic game, just like when a pitcher throw a no-hitter
at that point, might as well cheer on something historic taking place like 30 runs being scored in a single game... even if it's your team getting their teeth kicked in.
30 unanswered runs...
This was game 1 of a doubleheader, the Rangers won the 2nd game 9-7 all the runs the Rangers scored, were earned. Ouch
"Honey our child said his first word I think he's going to be an announcer when he grows up!
"What did he say"
"Base hit"
+Papa Bear LOL thank you for this you my good sir made my day
+David Mac because the announcer kept saying base hit base hit base hit
+Papa Bear and his 2nd word was walk
que mijo nobamo a ver muchachas
+Papa Bear and I bet his first full sentence was...."and that's a walk" :)
The Texas Rangers didn't score any runs until the 4th inning. Nearly half way through the game. Thats what impresses me!
Since the rangers scoring lasted from the 4th till the 9th, if they scored like that the entire game they would've put up 45
you need a checkmark
I love that the Orioles were actually AHEAD at one point
Imagine leaving to go to baseball practice or something thinking the orioles have a good chance to win, and see they lost 30-3
The funniest part is that we (the Rangers) were last place in the entire MLB at the time.
+bitchasshoeism yup
and would go on to lose in the WS to a wild card team the St. Louis Cardinals. :P
***** That was in 2011. This was in 2007 I think.
Well right now you guys are one of the leading teams
But they were a team on the rise around this time.
The original throw of a 3-0 lead
RPM Visuals I thought that was the 2004 ALCS?
@@thefareplayer2254 I think that's what he was going for, but technically THAT would be the original.

I gotta say much respect to the Orioles fans who stayed that whole game. You guys are the definition of die hard
This was the first game of a single admission double header, they stayed to see the 2nd game.
This game was crazy, especially when the O's scored 30 runs in the 9th.
you mean the Rangers?
Alexander Solano It was a sarcastic joke...
Jayden Todd oh ok.
Wut?
Those 300 people in the stands got their money's worth.
+The Black Ops Legend that's to say that they are rangers fans
One of them was 7 year old me devastated that my O's where loosing and then realizing I was seeing history

This explains the Baltimore riots...

I think he pronounced Saltalamacchia three different ways, and all of them wrong
He got it right once I think XD
Thats when you know that boredom has sat in.
That was Saltalamacchia's rookie year. Nobody knew how to pronounce his name.
I speak Italian fluently. When a CH is followed by an i, it's a K sound. If a C is followed only by an i, it's a CH sound. Bet someone corrected him.
Just imagine giving up 30 runs in a freaking baseball game
Crazy thing is, the 3rd base couch was holding guys up who probably could have scored once it reached 15, if he had let them run, it's possible the score could have been close to 40
i think i could get the save with a 27 run lead
@Leigh Anne Kretschmar actually no, Wes Littleton was credited with a save in this game because he pitch the 7th, 8th, and, 9th innings for the Rangers; if you pitch the last 3 innings coming in with a lead and didn’t start the game, you get a save no matter the deficit.
Final score: The Dallas Cowboys defeat the Baltimore Ravens 30-3.
***** It has already lol
More likely, it would be the Cowboys jumped out to a 30-3 lead, and then late in the fourth quarter Tony Romo throws a pick-six to lose 34-33.
mrmacross So true
mrmacross That many points off of 1 touchdown?
Jon Sands Yeah, if it's Tony Romo. It says so in the rule book.
2k on rookie difficulty.
lol
This is not right! Someone should've told those fans that they were paying full price to see rangers' batting practice! XD
What good is, this was the first game of a single admission doubleheader, so nobody left early
When bae says, "If you don't comeback, I get to look through your phone."
Truly amazing that in this game, there were 5 innings when the Rangers didn't score!
I was at this game the first game of a double header. Once the rangers hit the second grand slam to make it 20 - 3. The crowd started to root for the rangers to break the record which was somewhere in the 20's they flashed something on the score board about the American League record. You can tell toward the end of the game the cheers for the rangers picked up. I am an Orioles fan but after it was 20-3 it was kinda cool to see a team score that many runs. Also theres no bad blood with these teams now if it where New York or Boston then I would have been steaming.
+Geoffrey Sierzant I noticed that towards the end too that the fans actually had smiles on their faces. I guess at a point you start to realize that there's no way your team can come back and want to at least see something cool happen. This is why I've always respected the Orioles and their fans. I'm a Rangers fan so this is a pretty awesome thing to see considering our history is filled with such futility. I'm hopeful for this year though!
imagine being a kid that was an orioles fan and then slowly watching your team get destroyed 30 - 3
This reminds me of when I play Backyard Baseball 2001.
This Orioles team is twice as good as the 2019 Orioles lol
Shoot, these Orioles made the '88 Orioles look like World Series contenders!
@@knowbodiesfull5768 which year
So the Rangers got 3 touchdowns and 3 field goals while the Orioles only got one field goal for a final score of 30-3. Lol
Or 4 touchdowns and 2 two point conversions
4 touchdowns and a two point conversion in the same drive
4 touchdowns with 2 point conversions and 1 touchdiwn wuth a failed 2 point conversion
+Alexander Solano sorry typos
Frederik Brandt shit your right!!!!
Imagine being an Orioles fan and taking the day off from work or school to come see this game.
imagine having a 30 era hahahahah.
TheOutty500 that actually happens a lot in the first few weeks of baseball.. if a relief pitcher gives up 4 runs.. boom, his ERA is rediculous
alex cline literally infinity if he doesnt get an out
The all-time highest ERA that isn't infinity (where a pitcher gives up a ton of runs without getting an out) for a career is 189, held by Joe Cleary, who gave up 7 runs while only getting one out. Just in case you were wondering.
Didn't look like many fans were there from the beginning, but kudos for sticking around through all of that, and even cheering them when they hit 30 runs.
Lol they were only there to cheer on the Rangers
This was game one of a single admission doubleheader, they stayed since there was another game coming up
What if I told you that Baltimore got through this game on just 4 pitchers?
+gooberdude2 Each of their ERA's must've been over 50 that season or something...
AeroRanger100 I did see that none of the pitchers finished the season with a ERA under 5, so yeah, basically.
They gave up by 10 I'm sure
RIP their ERA's
gooberdude2 more like 400 lol!!! (I know that's over the normal 25/26 idk which)
If the announcer was more eccentric this would be so much more interesting to watch
Cristo Harijan YES! That reminds me, why wasn't Gary Thorne doing this game? I thought he was the lead guy on MASN.
This guy is the Orioles announcer
Hit a grand slam up by 13 and complained when someone else hit a grand slam up by 7
I was there.... one of the most memorable days of my childhood
7 years later...
The Orioles have a strong lead on the AL EAST and the Rangers are behind the Astros in the standings.
Doesn't erase this ass whopping.

@@ForeignWarren lmao
This is a historically significant game. This was the most runs scored in a game in the Live Ball Era of baseball, and the most runs since June 29, 1897 Chicago vs. Louisville (NL).
what was the score
The Chicago Colts (not yet the Cubs) set a major league record for runs in a game when they manhandled the Louisville Colonels at West Side Park, 36-7.
+Pyrex IMO games before 1930 shouldn't count, just because they couldn't test for drugs and stuffs. Plus teams were much worse 80 years ago.
I really don't think there were performance enhancing drugs during the great depression. And I think players like Ty Cobb would disagree with you as far as the teams being worse.
+Pyrex The rules weren't even properly established back then, for example foul balls didn't count as strikes. I agree that games before the rules were established shouldn't count.
Braves 29 marlins 9
Brewers 19 tigers 0
Giants 23 rockiest 3
2020 is weird
Rockies actually scored 5
lmfao even the o's fans start cheering for the rangers in the end
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many infield singles. I counted at least 4. How about 2 grand slams and 2 3-run homers by the same team in the same game and that still didn’t cover half of their runs.
Are you sure they werent playing football?
Cowboys played well and bested the Ravens 30-3.
@@expansionofdongs9277Pennsylvania Football fans would absolutely hate that matchup.
Blue Jays came pretty close to this record yesterday.
Everyone seems to forget this game, or just not know about it whatsoever...
Then again, both of these teams were kind of sucky at the time...But still, that stadium is pretty quiet for 30 runs.
***** I think what he means is, is that if the stadium was crowded, there would be a lot of booing.
I would expect SOME noise from the crowd AND announcers after the Rangers did something that no one else did in over 100 years. But they were shockingly lethargic.
Mike Hawk You have to remember, this was a game in late August of 2007. Both these teams were in 4th in their divisions and long since out of playoff position. Granted, they were both mathematically in it, but so far behind that it was a given their seasons were over.
Mike Hawk the orioles and rangers were both shitty teams in 2007
Mike Hawk I agree, the announcers didn't seem to know that a record was broken that day lol
Not only was it a blow out, but the teams were actually scheduled for a doubleheader that day due to the game the day before being rained out. This was game 1 of the doubleheader, so Baltimore had to take the field after getting destroyed and play another 9 innings. And not only that, but rain had already delayed the start of this game, so game 1 didn't start until 5pm. With this game being well over 3 hours long, game 2 didn't start until almost midnight. How's that for a shitty day lmao. P.S. Baltimore lost game 2, but only 9-7 this time around.
Man I could've swore I was looking at the scores from a football game 😂😂
30-3 is a blowout in football, let alone baseball
Pshh, Kent Murphy could do this by himself
ItsTropic_ he could do it on deck while stealing your girl
12 years later the orioles broke the single season run record.... for most runs given to the other team
I remember watching this as a kid at my beach house very vividly. I left after the 2nd and came back at the 8th inning and was shocked at the score lmao
Boy, what a game! *cue conga line*
plot twist, the o's came back and won
+saskgeese
m8 just dont even make that joke, the O's are hurt enough by this rape.
30-3 is a complete blowout in FOOTBALL.
Anyone here after Tatis Jr grand slam?
I don't remember anyone complaining about him swinging on a 2-0 pitch when up 13 runs. #LetThemPlay
I live in Dallas...The Rangers, between 2009 and 2016 were a GREAT offensive and defensive team - Five 90 win seasons, 2 trips to the World Series - Was a great 7-8 years
You know when your baseball game blowout would also be considered a blowout in football, you got your ass kicked.
My score card look like an ink blot.
3:49 “And the Rangers now are just laying it on”. They were only 2/3 of the way there 😂
It was 3-0 O’s through 3
5-3 through 5
How does this stuff happen??!!
As a orioles fan its called Pain
Man its fun to watch the orioles play their so good were definitely making it to the WS this year.cant wait!
and they made Fernando Tatis Jr apologize for hitting a grand slam while up 10-3 smh
The previous record for runs in a game was set by the Red Sox on June 7 1950, in a 29-4 victory over the St Louis Browns. The Red Sox also had defeated the Browns 20-4 just one day earlier. 3 years later the Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Orioles.
LOL the karma
"And another base hit" worst. Announcer. Ever.
Well it was the orioles announcer so he prob wasn't too happy lol
+theebige There are only so many ways that you can say "base hit"
+Dhruv Pradhan Presumably they weren't able to post audio from the Rangers announcer because he died from excitement halfway through the inning.
Shut the fuck up you would do the same. Hell you probably wouldn't know what just happened. You try announcing then come back and comment.
When texas was up Bout 12-3 baltimore just said fuck it and didnt try the rest of the game lol
it was probably before then.... Texas scored 30 runs lol, they probably gave up when they were down by 1
J3susFtw Nah they gave up before the game started. They didn't feel like trying.
it's somehow so much worse knowing Baltimore had a 3-0 lead 4 innings in. they thought they were on their way to a win for over a third of the game and then lost by TWENTY SEVEN
That's a football score not MLB
30 straight runs starting in the 4th inning. There were so many seeing eye hits that were just inches from being an out. It was uncanny. 🤦🤦
3:20 0th?
I can't watch this
I know right. That lineup we had wasn't that bad though. It must've been Cabrera starting. I remember one time get took him out in the first because he was so bad.
+Blake Heptinstall the box score says that the 3 run home in the 4th was off if Cabrera so you sir are correct
I can!!!!!!!😂 #gorangers
Brian Roberts and Melvin Mora literally were the only Orioles doing ANYTHING!
Would have loved to see the final out and how relieved the O's would look!
And then... they had to come right back out and play another 9 innings, because this was game 1 of a single admission double header

Texas also scored 9 runs in the second game, winning 9-7, setting a modern record (post-1901) for most runs scored in a doubleheader in Major League history (39). Finally, by scoring their last three runs of the second game at 11:58 EDT, they hold the record for most runs on the same day. Had they not scored the last three runs before midnight, they would have tied a record by the Cubs, who had 27 runs on the same day, which was 3 runs from a game started the previous night that lasted into late extra innings plus the 24 they scored in a subsequent game. You can thank me for not having a real life for this tidbit of trivia.
Gosh, i remember having scores like his when I played softball as a kid.
