I have been feeling for a while that NGS puts SEGA in a weird spot if they want to aim for a big hit. NGS did refresh PSO2 a bit in terms of generational tech, but it was still technically cross-gen and was never going to be a big, current-tech endeavor. I have to think SEGA has given this some consideration by now, and realized that they need to get going on something modern for the series in order to get it ready in time to come out with something they can push as a new-gen blockbuster. Taking it easy on NGS while funneling resources into a more modern PSO project would be a pretty logical move, even if it meant NGS wouldn't add up to much in the long run. If they do this, I just hope they keep their notes on player input and their most successful features in NGS and PSO2's lifespan, as one of the biggest criticisms for NGS has been things they already did pretty well in PSO2 not getting carried over (only for half of those things to be re-implemented alter when it became clear they were needed.) I have to say, if there ever was Monhun game to try out, especially for channel building, this should be the one. It's fully cross-platform and it's one of the main numbered entries, so it'll make more changes to established systems than previous ones did. I'll be playing it. But for now, I'm going through Wukong and have picked up Morrowind again. (My old copy on console, if you can believe it.)
Every time they say "Were having an anniversary!" I'm surprised because it doesn't feel like a year has gone by since nothing of note happened for me to use to track time.
I feel that term seems rather redundant. If they still want to do their thing in December/January, that's fine, but they should leave "anniversary" off of it IMO. June and July have always been the big "anniversary months", with base in July and NGS in June.

I gotta stop. I'm just really disappointed with pso2ngs and will not be going back, nothing has happened in 3 years.
Ill just go play MH wilds as that series hasnt let me down like phantasy star.
I never could get into MonHun for whatever reason, starting with the very first one. I wanted to, but I just couldn't. Maybe due to the presentation or the game play, maybe both. Another thing with the more recent games is lack of crossplay.
I may give WIlds a shot but I'll need to do more research on it. "Learning to Love Monster Hunter" might make for a fun video series. Thanks for watching!
I have long since given up, Sega is the most incompetent company i have ever seen.
That seems to be a widely held sentiment, especially outside Japan. I have a friend from the original PSO who swore off Sega in the early 2000s and has been playing FF11 ever since. Thanks for watching!
