Invincible is an Image Comics Universe series named for its superhero, "Invincible" ("Mark Grayson"). Created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker, Invincible first appeared in Tech Jacket #1 (October 2002), before graduating to his own self-titled regular series in 2003, as the premier title in Image's then-new superhero line.
Invincible is the teenage son of Omni-Man, an extraterrestrial superhero of the Viltrumite race. Invincible inherited his father’s superhuman strength and ability to fly and he has sworn to protect the Earth. He has had trouble adjusting to his newfound powers and coping with the reality of his origins.

he never appeared in Tech Jacket #1, let alone any of Tech Jacket's issues. Tech Jacket was just the first/previous superhero project Kirkman made before Invincible.

But she made sense, Mark's response was weak. Now the problems comes with the execution, highly doubtuful that most Viltrumites are like Anissa and won't just outright genocide because they feel like it, forx example, like what happended with Nolan.
But how she put it, it's just true.
Problem is that she doesn't explain what life will be like under viltrum rule. With the information given in this episode, it's very possible that constantly being attacked by kaijus and society being destroyed by greed is a better alternative to being part of the empire.

The side story with Donald in this episode was so well done! I mean they handled that issue with such well written care.

I was never onboard with Amber and Mark being together but I'm really glad they gave it a proper episode for Amber to come to realization it's all just getting too big to work.
That's when it's the worst. Nobody hates the other or was super wronged... you just come to terms with things just not working.
I'd honestly rather have any other excuse than everything works but it just isn't working. But that's me.
I think from the beginning it was meant to be obvious that Mark and Amber wouldn’t work out. But it was important for both of them to go through that relationship. Even with love, patients, and respect things didn’t work out. Amber is a human without powers and Mark is has powers plus also being half alien. And sadly he got dragged with the viltrimites conquering greed.
Exactly even the writers weren’t a fan , now I wanna know if that person who was having a go at the boys for disliking her as if they weren’t allowed to have an opinion, is watching 🤣
Its the same in the comics…. But she wasn’t as annoying as they wrote her on the show…not sure if that was their intention or not …

Not only would that have 100% happened with Eve, but Eve would likely make an attempt at defending herself and most likely DIE in that situation. At least at THIS point in time (arguably at ANY, considering Anissa is powerful even in Viltrumite standard)
If the last sentence is meant to refer to the comics, then 100% Eve at one point would body her.
Yeah, we saw how Eve couldn't even stand up to Mark in episode 1 of this season. Even if he's a stronger version than this Mark I doubt he was Anissa and Nolan strong that episode
@@billbill6094 Ok so I don't know a lot about the comics and I don't want to know anymore but I have a theory based on what I do know about the long timeline and I think maybe Eve learns how to limit or stop aging so she can live with mark for thousands of years. Am I close?

One thing people seem to forget is. The older a viltrumite is the stronger they are. That's why Anissa could fly through the Kiju and Mark couldn't. She is faster than him.

Just reinforcing, Omni-man's beating in s1 was just Nolan trying to convince himself and bluffing.
For Mark he'd thought and hoped he could make his realationship with Amber work as his non powered mom was fine for twenty years living with Nolan. However no luck for Mark , both Amber and his moms vulnerability was shown to him within a night.

Was Mason Quinn on holiday when they showed all the other realities where Mark allied with the Viltrumites and became a monstrous dictator? Was he having a shower when Omniman killed hundreds of people to make a point to Mark? The point being that all these human lives mean nothing?
That hasn't happened yet dude... that's next episode

In regards to Mark dating Amber, don’t forget Nolan was able to sustain a relationship with his mother, a mortal woman, for 20+ years and could’ve probably kept it going if his mission didn’t kick in so it is possible although extremely risky

season 2 and 3 were actually greenlit at the same time (right before episode 8 of season 1 aired), and now season 4 and 5 have already been greenlit.
season 5 coming approximately 2029 at this rate
Apparently, season 3 is already finished production. It already finished production, before season 2 even came out ...
Which means it's currently in post-production and very likely arrives later this year!

Goodnes gracious this episode was crazy as hell when first watched it.
The scene about animation is great, cause in the comic they did the exact same setup but it was all the comic things they did instead of animation ones.

An alternative reality where human resists you mean? We haven't been shown what will happen if humanity peacefully surrenders.
Pick one statement she said this episode that can be proven wrong.
And when they destroyed Unopan civilisation and wiped them all out (except for Allen).
@@StargazerMCHB They started conquering Unopa _by_ killing, the Unopans literally didn't know who they were. Of course humans will resist slavery, "we've only seen the planets where the slaves aren't happy about being enslaved, what if they just gave up their freedom willingly?" Wouldn't be much better nor would any individual human be treated better by the Viltrumites who think them an inferior race.

@@TimothyGod Omni-man talks about it in S1E8 when he explains the real Viltrum. Basically the Viltrimites plan of essentially Blitzkrieging the planet they wanted to conquer with a large fighting force was unsustainable at the rate at which they wanted to expand the Empire. Trusted Officers were each given a planet to takeover by any means far more efficient then what they did to win Unopa.
I glad not all of you fell for the BS. I just don't understand people who say Anissa makes good points. Have we been watching the same show? EVERYTHING every Viltrumite has done runs contrary to what they're saying. Dead humans don't benefit them? Apparently Nolan didn't get that message by the end of the first season. Hell, Anissa literally threatened Amber and others' lives only five minutes earlier! Super heroes are already fighting off monsters and they're doing it without demanding Earth bend the knee! They're lying! Why would you believe anything they say?
In case you miss the message of the show, the heroes are failing.
I'm not saying Vilty are the good guys, but this is a cartoon made on the basis that human is the good guy and will triumph. Of course, they are not gonna make Vilty benevolent.
But look at it this way, a superior race both physically and technologically is coming to conquer humans. Human stands no chance to fight back. Humans are currently on a self-destructive path where the future looks grim. A superior race offers solutions and order for their rule. You can try to fight back and die by billions, or submit and maybe die by a hundred thousand or less. What is a smart choice?
And let's not go Mark's route like we need to make our own decision or freedom bullshit. Even in the current world, you have no freedom. You have to abide by the rules of society you are living in. You can only have the freedom to do what doesn't matter, the decision to do what is said to be acceptable by society.
FYI, I'm team human. But a good point is a good point.
Yeah, and we know literally every universe Mark is evil, he causes billions of deaths. We've known that since ep 1, and in the aftercredit scenes with alternate Mark and Levy. Anissa is trying to sell him a bridge and Mason is buying it.

Nolan doesnt show off his power against Mark in the way Anissa does. He's still one of the strongest Viltrumites (there's a few stronger than him).

Kaiju just means ‘strange beast.’
The term wasn’t popularized into the western zeitgeist until Pacific Rim.

Anissa is a lovely name. Kate is a lovely name. Someone is going to Google Anissa Kate in the hopes of finding something to do with Anissa and Dupli-Kate and how it ties in to this story.

Eve can't fight a viltrumite, they showed that at the start of the season with the alternate marks. She can't beat him, she'll never reach any wheres near Mark's father or the other viltrumite veterans.

I wish Mark asked her what the downsides are. There probably is a lotta truth, but there are obviously downsides. At least ask he to show her hand, its easier to discuss with her if all the cards are on the table. More info is better than less info, and perhaps you can plant seeds of rebellion with her if she has any capability for empathy(even if it takes 1000 years).
