- Klemens Torggler is a visual artist in the field of painting and object art and lives and works in Vienna.
Through his kinetic sculptures he gained worldwide recognition. Klemens Torggler's kinetic sculptures have been exhibited at art fairs and numerous exhibitions and are in art collections. Furthermore, works can be seen in films and found their way into design and architectural publications.
Although the objects appear to be design objects, the works have remained art objects to this day, so there are no commercial versions but only unique pieces that are sometimes very different from each other and for sure completely different from doors that everyone usually has at home.
KT develops kinetic unique pieces and space installations also on customer request and advises in this regard in architectural questions.

So inspiring! This makes me think of all sorts of great geometric doors/curtains/wiggly-partitions for my hackerspace VR lab! Okay, what is a door? It's just a wiggly bit that separates two feelings of spaces right? The less you have to wiggle the door, the better. Yet the more it separates, the more door-like it is. From a bank vault to door beads. Why not have a bladder of air and a step pad? No electronics. No pumps. Just a balloon with a plate on it on the ground and a tube that fills when you step on the the step pad/plate to auto-open the door when you walk through. I can see the design. it just needs to be not a trip hazard and wheelchair accessible.

Been trying forever and I just can't figure out what kind of hinge he's using on the design with the 4 📐 where it comes out and folds at the same time. Need a scratching my head emoji
