They start with the belief first and then hunt for supporting evidence from the text. He thought it depends on how many ppl witness the event when it is about how many people NARRATE the Hadith. Embarrassing. Brother Farid you are mistaken when you said narrators of a mutawatir Hadith don’t need to be Muslims. Remember, a matawatir Hadith is one which has multiple narrators and that all of these narrators are thiqah and they avoid major sins. A non Muslim can’t satisfy these conditions.
He was just being confident at that time and he knew that Syed Ali will not be able to get a Mutawatir hadith and that is why he said that he will accept a Mutawatir hadith as there is no Mutawatir report. That is what I understood. Allah knows best.

Brother Farid you are mistaken when you said narrators of a mutawatir Hadith don’t need to be Muslims.
Remember, a matawatir Hadith is one which has multiple narrators and that all of these narrators are thiqah and they avoid major sins. A non Muslim can’t satisfy these conditions.
He was just being confident at that time and he knew that Syed Ali will not be able to get a Mutawatir hadith and that is why he said that he will accept a Mutawatir hadith as there is no Mutawatir report. That is what I understood. Allah knows best.

If you have a narration from any number of people that ends up contradicting prophet (S) it's worthless ("This religion will be kept in efficacy and power for a period of twelve successors") The same way the hadith that calls prophet (S) bewitched is worthless. If there is narration that imam has said X and there is also narration that imam has said and acted opposite to X, you will find out which one is lie or in one context both are possible. The person is at fault for not using their brain for more than counting the narrators.

As a Shia I completely disagree with him, Ithna Ashari is not the opposite of Sunni Islam, nor Sunni Islam the opposite of ithna ashari. Sunni base there ahadith on (I think) what they believe the prophet and the Islamic community did and said at the time. While we ithna ashari base our ahadith on what we believe the Prophet and Ahle bayte did and said.
@@samrezvani3299 we dont based hadith on what Islamic Community did , We authenticate Our chains of narrations to prophet Muhammad pbuh and it can be Sahaba or Ahlul bait A.S , Then we found the implication from Sahaba R.A life that How they understood that verse , If prophet Muhammad pbuh dawah only reached to Ahlulbait A.S and rest of the sahaba become munkar then i think it is really a big doubt upon ALLAH SWT book and Prophet pbuh teachings ... One or few can go astray but saying the entire dawah was not fruitful this should be taking in to consideration , and thorough study
