A few added nerd notes to some of the details: You mentioned that the "Jewel" plot kind of came out of nowhere in Sonic 2. That's very interesting! I didn't notice that. Not because I disagree with you, but i do think Sonic fans wouldn't notice it as a plot hole, since we've been waiting for them to use the Chaos emeralds. The Green one is known as the Master Emerald. So when you would call it a "Jewel", my ears hurt. Lol. But only Sonic fans would care. Lol. Also, in Sonic 3, most of the plot is taken directly from the Video Game, Sonic Adventure 2, including the Shadow-Maria story, as well as some of the action sequences. Even the first line Sonic says as he's jumping out of the helicopter is straight from the games. The song Live and Learn for the final battle was also taken from Sonic Adventure 2. All of these details made Sonic fans lose their minds. But to watch the review from someone who is not familiar with the franchise and still enjoy the movie means that the 3rd movie knocked it out of the park. Thank you!!!
@@DyliciousTakes would also like to point out, near the beginning of the video you mention fictional characters being thrust into a world with humans and you weren't sure if you were gonna like that i do wanna say in the games, sonic isn't actually an alien, and all the sonic characters were actually born on earth. they interact with humans regularly. just a detail i wanted to point out, so you know the human aspect wasn't for the sake of the movie but something that was there already
