Because the LCD screen and digitiser glass panel of the iPad 6th generation is not laminated, it’s not recommended to do DIY to replace the battery, there are big chances of getting tiny bits of dusts or fluffs inside the screen and made it look like dead pixels. … iPad Air 2 has laminated screens, that means the digitiser and the LCD screen are in one piece after taking the iPad apart, so unlike the iPad 6th generation as seen in this video. Over a year ago I kept it in mind not to buy repaired iPad 6th generation, but this year ended up buying one used, and the seller had replaced the screen, it has 4 tiny bits inside the screen!
Great video!! Thank you for the detailed explanation. Question: I charge my devices overnight. I’ll start using the iPad 6, at some point it acts as if the battery is dead and it will shutdown. I’ll try to restart, it will need the power cable (action like the battery is dead). Once it’s plugged in, it powers up and shows the battery 20% charged or more. It’s been acting like this for a few months. Any thoughts?
The battery is dead. The iPad approximates the battery’s charge from the voltage it’s outputting but when a battery gets old the voltage output will get lower and if it progresses beyond a certain threshold the iPad will shut down even though it still is partially charged the voltage output is just too low. That’s how I understand it.
Hi. While in replacing battery, I did break a part on bottom ipad. I see that is 2 part the same, I tried start up ipad, it still working but I feel the wifi speed is slower. Do you know what the part I did break ?
Few months back my apps were crashed in iPad 6th..then i thought to reboot it, i switched it off but it won't turn on then.. my ipad is still dead .. cause where I live here's no apple service centre located...
Start with about 2 minutes all around edges.. and then keep continue until you can create a gap.. after 2-3 initial step, then you can go with 1 minute at a time..

Well yes, to repair ipads , they need to remove the screen..Sometimes there is a chance of breaking the LCD..It depend on the Tech and sometimes even Pros will have issues.
Should never have folded the digi over like that. Also you made this repair ten times harder than it needed to be. There was no reason to remove and unhook everything around the battery. Thumbs down.
@@DIYGeardo You do have to lift the board but it's easier to loosen from around the battery connector, this will allow access to the connector without unscrewing any other component. Most of the motherboard is glued down and is pretty flexible if you go carefully.

Please repeat the type/name of the final adhesive applied to reattach the screen, and where it can be ordered.
There are two types. You can find pre-cut adhesive for 2018 model and if not b7000 / T8000 Glue
