Good job for convincing me not to do it myself😅
I was fine until the soldering iron came out 😂
Same 😂
Don’t worry, these good folks will train you, just head to their website 😂🤣!
Omg me too. Soldering…… nope
Still tempted
Still can't believe i just did that, AND IT WORKS. THANK YOU!!!
Guaranteed easier said than done.
Just got mine in the mail today. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
First person that I have seen so far use alcohol, good job that's exactly what should be used for any of this adhesive junk.
I’m going to break that screen for sure! I was quoted 75 bucks to replace it. Sounds cheap to me!
This is an incredibly detailed guide! I have done a full ipad screen replacement in the past and Had i the time to do this repair it would be invaluable, insta subbed!
This actually looks fun, i may try this inna year or so.
$130 at my local repair shop to replace this charge port. New (refurbished) one on Amazon is $200 🤷♂️
My local shop it was 150$
Yea $125 for the time it takes to get to the port
Another one of Tammy Crook's brilliant designs! I hate that pos!
I can’t believe I’ve been fixing these devices for 8 years and never tried to do this. Just got it done on my first try and customer is happy as hell and now I won’t have to turn people away🤑
Hlello, what'stype of soldering before removing the flex cable?
My anxiety spiked at diff lvls seeeeveral times this entire video LOL
How can you tell if, it's a new charging port cable needed or you need a new tristar chip?
what do you use for cleaning flux
Any soldering flux should be fine, AFAIK.
Piece of cake!
is the Isopropyl used 90% ?
great work
Thank you! Cheers!
@@cellphonerepairacademy2302 what wattage iron do you use and what temperature setting?
@@versatilethearcane 200 Celsius
Hi, i got a swollen battery that wont charge ect BUT also the touch is playing up. Can bad battery ever effect touch? or do i have a bad M/b too? I could jump power to the connector and try with nominal voltage but every time other ipad i have worked on when touch stops or is trouble, m/b chips ect are too blame. Ask what you think?
This could be a CPU issue
I have one with the same problem charging port issue how can I get to send it to you and pay you to repair it for me?

This is a difficult repair, I would recommend not attempting this unless you have a good amount of experience soldering. Or of course if you can afford to mess it up.
Exactly my situation , good to know on my sons old ipad which we are replacing anyway.
Wowv😮
what Flux was used in minute 8:06
Can you fix an ipad 6th gen😢 i think it cannot be fix i woke up lately and saw charger was burning, ipad did not explode but the screen got affected or damaged i turned it off please help:(
left and right instructions are the opposite of those cited in this video. Its confusing.
I'm in Chicago can I just come in to the facility for an estimate?
Absolutely! We have two Chicagoland locations, please visit our website: www.mygadgetech.com
Awww heck no....I take it in to get done! I'm handy but I know my delusions!
Halfway through the video and I already know I can’t pull that off😱
I can’t even solder big and bulky stuff together.
The solder never seems to want to stick to the surface I heated and instead I have to melt it on the tip of the Iron and rub it on the material.
So this kind of Micro-Soldering is just Not happening👎
Only 4 years Old tablet with that problem tho…SuperGreen 😡.
Planned obsolescence is criminal.

yall need to slow this shit down just a bit
Hi. I don’t know how UA-cam displays on other things, but if you’re using an iPhone you can use the bolt in the upper right (next to “cc”) to open a control panel, and Playback Speed to slow down or speed up. I hope that helps.
@@GrantTarredus Thanks
@@Prince.Prince1999 Sure thing, brother!
So much for modular construction. When you have to solder, that’s bullshit
...where in the fuck do i get a soldering kit
Damn too much lol 😅😅😅
