Sikky in America make the best conversion kits for Ls1 on to e30 e36 bmw
Soneday ill be able to afford mine 😢
Enjoyed the series guys, I am doing this at the moment with my E30 325i coupe but with a L77 6.0l. Great to see what its like. :)
*"Now, imagine this engine combination but with a turbo on it, in a VY ute"*
I have a feeling I know what that feels like 🤔😅
The Turbo Tonner!! 🤩
The most fun you can have with your pants on. My god that thing is wicked😎👍
Damn that’s a clean build. Just got my first e30 and this is the goal I’m shooting for
That thing rocks! Must be a close ratio box, cos dam it takes off in 2nd just as revvy as 1st!! great job.
Highlight of my week for UA-cam
I've got the same radiator in my 900hp Barra Cressida, suprisingly also keeps it cool 👌 eBay for the win 😂
There's a place in Sydney that makes a kit for this build. Mighty Car Mods did it 2 years ago.
Looks and sounds awesome guys especially on those private roads you we're on. 😁
What a mint little package!!! Would love one myself
Nice build, this thing must rip!
Great show!
That thing sounds amazing! Makes me want to stuff a LS in my e30 touring.
7:10 so good 🤣interior is awesome also 👍
Love it so much keep it up lads
Those wheels are perfect 👌
Crazy love it
Love it!
Hey guys. The reason the power steering starts like that (like a jet) is because it is wired incorrectly. This is fail-safe mode. To get this, you must have the 2 trigger wires connected to 12v simultanously. What you actually want is them staggered. The way this is done in the Astra is to have 1 (Black) connected to ignition and the 2nd wire (Blue) connected to the alternator light output. This way, the pump will jump to life full-speed when the engine starts. No more wind-up and wind-down, and better performance. @Nathan, this is how I have it wired up on my car (the LS2 turbo Volvo 240 from the mega-meet in Melb about a month back).
Currently got the same thing for my territory turbo
does it take another PWM input from ECU or speedo ?? because I see it has alot of pins ? can you piont me to any wiring diagrams online ?
@@incolink not that I'm aware of. Only 4 wires. Main power, main earth. Blue and black signal wires. I don't know what the other wire is used for but leaving it disconnected isn't an issue for swaps.
Awesome car guys
Good stuff. My kind of car
Great review and your welcome for the name GMW
How good does that sound!! 😃
Frikkn mint job.
Do you guys have a detailed exhaust system set up description? I have an ls1 swapped myself and mine does not sound anything like that. My God it sounds phenomenal!
Man I built one of these with a turbo years ago......... ON FORZA hahaha. This thing would be such a handful
did they ever make the kit? and if so what’s it called?
Man I’d love to do this but with a TJ Magna, it would definitely be different.
Yep different
try baer brakes way better then willwoods
What size rims (and offset) and tyres is this car running. I am having an LS1 swap in my E30
Great review guys, it sounds fantastic and it certainly looks like a lot of fun to drive. I’m currently deciding what to do with the LS and manual box I have in the shed , I think I just found it.
Would be an awesome little car to drive !
Is that the gear stick rattling or the engine pinging ?
Yeah that is the gearstick, the mechanism is bolted directly to the box so liam is looking at changing it up a little to reduce that rattle
Any ideas on what the engineering will cost?
Drift car build please
👍🏻🍺👏
When you say it's a painful conversion. Do you think now that you've got the experience, doing it again would be less painful? Or is it just plain tricky no matter what?
Ps. Love the review style vid. Happy to see more!
Thanks mate, yeah having done it now and learning from it, it would make it a lot easier. It was mostly difficult because we were mounting everything from scratch with no kits, so just getting everything in place was difficult to begin with
What muffler is that called again on the bmw
Varex, the muffler with the butterfly valve in it
All that & no mention of my tyres on the front... thoroughly disappointed 😞😥
Why not just leave it registered in Victoria, seeing he has driven it for 12 months as is, I assume illegally, save any hassles in the Banana Republic !!!
Getting the car engineered is much easier in Queensland. rego and insurance is also much cheaper too
@@liamquinny - I thought there was now an AUSTRALIAN standard for modified vehicles. I know that there is for street rods, so I would have thought that it would be the same???
