True. It's very easy to identify between someone who needed to rope (maybe something went on and stepped away for a sec) to someone who is a little piss baby who lost a card game. The fact this game still has no in-game report button is hilarious.
@@Joseph125 Not really. It should be super easy to determine whether someone is suffering from client crashes or if they literally quit every game when they get into a losing position. Alt-F4 won't register as a crash by the way. It's completely detectable by the game client and results in different exit codes and signals to the app.
@@Rusaarules With how salty players can be, an in-game report button would only make it more difficult to address actual reports, because of the sheer volume they'd get. There's so many dumb people that play this game that claim people are 'hacking' that they post all over forums. @@Lordidude actual good play is rare in any of the decks tbh. They are all very simple and copy pasted from meta decks. I hate playing against mono red as much as the next guy but I seen more skill in mono red as any other decks, because its such a simple aggro deck it shows off the skill a lot more than someone just sitting on 10 counter spells and 10 removals doing nothing all game till they get their one combo off
Historically playing mono red at an actually competitive level has been about how to "Kill them fast patiently". It just so happens that the skill floor to just play cards and win more than lose in a brainless best of one format is also where mono red shines.
I miss the deck tech at the beginning and end. I know it doesn't get the views but I like it. Maybe some deckbuilding videos would be an idea. Going through the thought process is very helpfull.
CGB I built a mono blue mill deck just for fun (its not good most of the time), and people will rope out or concede if I stop them from removing my only mill creatures a single time (I only have 5 in the deck 2 being the 10/1 that causes all damage to mill thats still like 7 turns of combat damage to mill them unless both are out). I countered another players counterspell once, they conceded (while they were winning). Players can be big babies, haha.
I am not going to defend Roping, but its not always because of salt. Lets face it, MTGA on mobile is bugged as shit, and crashes if you look at it wrong. you can restart it, but by the time it restarts, you probably already used your whole timer, and lost your turn, at which point the game is seriously in your opponents favor.
Last guy could have crashed twice since they were roping when they could have attacked and then did it immediately. It's been happening a lot to me as well
If he does that they can just shock their own mouse and point the two copies at his drowner and mastermind. So now he can't kill them and just dies the next turn anyway.
Ive found this deck to be better in bo1 than bo3, even though it has good sideboard interaction, because a lot of decks sideboard tons of anti aggoi stuff that can be good in decks like tokens. Is there any cards that anyone would recommend to sideboard for current meta that i may have missed?
Is there a reason to play Gix still over Enduring Curiosity? I mean the only thing that Gix has going for him is he costs 1 mana less. And even then i dont think 1 mana is really enough, because Enduring Curiosity is a single 4 mana investment into a card that can stay in the game till the end (if the opp doesnt remove it a second time).
When that mono-red player put all their pump spells on their one creature, I thought they were just being red-player dumb but in reality they were just red-player genius.
I could be wrong, but third game when he stole your counter spell; she/he wasn’t able to play the counter spell part because the spree cost has blue in it , I think the only part of the card that can be used for any mana is the actual pip in the card, additional costs still have to be paid accordingly , or am I wrong?
The spree cost has no blue pips in it: this is Phantom Interference, not Three Steps Ahead. (Otherwise, you'd be right!) EDIT: I was thinking of casting without paying its mana cost. In this case, it says that "mana of any type can be spent to cast it", and the spree costs are additional costs (they are paid to cast the spell), so they can be paid with mana of any type as well.
until u made the deck and it actually just doesnt work like intended :D kinda like played it for the last 6 hours, watched this whole video here like 5 times. and still idk how the heck u wanna win with this. u get 90% completely demolished by aynthing
people who ropequit deserves a ban.. everytime it increases, 1st one 3 hours, second one a day, 3rd a week.. one of the reasons i stopped playing mtg arena
Feel the same with salty quit the app, people are just being petty for the sake of it. Best part it most of them are agro player, you would get to the next game faster if you just concede /smh
It actually does not take very much sophistication to run these control decks. Let them build up then board wipe. Counter or destroy the occasional enchantment or artifact. Repeat until your opponent is bored and quits.😢😢
I havent played MTG since the new set released, the meta is just so boring and annoying and by watching some of this games i get the feeling i made the right decision, compared to this i rather play rust to relax.
No it isn't. The meta is as varied as it has ever been. There are dominant decks as always and mono red is as annoying as ever but there's also a slew of more than viable decks that all play differently. If you don't like this meta then you just don't like magic
There's is a lot of variety right now ... But sometimes you still might have a day where you sit down to play and you face the same crap multiple times in a row.

The fact there's no repercussions for roping is wild. You oughta push for something about it.

30:58 Big brain mono red plays!
The exception that confirms the rule.
If they had just used the monstrous rage on the blocked show-off, they would not have needed all that fancy stuff. It was a cool play though.
Yeah, yeah, we all hate mono-red, I know, but that triple Shock on their own Hero move was pretty sick
The ceiling is low but he managed to hit it
Yeah. An actual gg from Mono red is not something I had on my bingo card.

I got mythic during the only season of MTGA that I’ve ever played with a Dimir deck. Probably my favourite standard archetype. Great video!
I enjoy the living the vicarious mythic climb. We've been through a lot, but we're going to be champions. My mom is gonna be so proud of us.

honestly, I mostly watch the videos for the deck tech intro.. cutting this is kinda crap for me XD
I just watch the other creators. It sucks but that’s the only voice I have.
Yeah, it was great to hear his actual thoughts on the deck build
that convoke game was genuinely skilful
Last guy could have crashed twice since they were roping when they could have attacked and then did it immediately. It's been happening a lot to me as well
You could have bounced the mouse while the last 2 Monstrous Rage were still on the stack. It was 4 damage less if they killed it, so u’d have won ❤
He also could've Mapped on a previous turn to get in 1 more damage, and then used Siren and Map for lethal.
*you'd
If he does that they can just shock their own mouse and point the two copies at his drowner and mastermind. So now he can't kill them and just dies the next turn anyway.
Correction, he doesn't just automatically die next turn, but he's in a real bad spot.
I remember watching him scoff at a combo turn of the opponents and just walk away for 5 mintues and come back almost roped out
himself.
Wise decision on the last match, CGB.
Rope-Out should NEVER be condoned.

Yeah Kaito is cool you should play him as Commander on your show or in brawl notice that Ninjitsu will not work from the Command Zone.
Kaito is indeed not Yuriko.
Where is the deck tech brother? My pea brain is to small to understand the game plan from a 1 sec deck list
Prefer that to being restless.
i do love me some kill everything mono red ever play

I think the game would just be better if everyone draws a land each turn guaranteed. Otherwise the game just resolves so much around luck.

Kaito is even more busted in Brawl!
When i get roped, i start spamming the green dragon emoji, they quit really quickly after that.
Saw the title and all I could think was…. Ayyyyooooooooooo
Roping out should lose you more rank points.
Rope back a roper when you are winning is the ultimate salt shaker - try it... they scoop so fast

Click on the description, click on the decklist, click on the card you don’t know
