I have a similar setup with my Vevor heater. As you probably know, the controller on the face is the thermostat. It is heldnon with a double sided tape. I pried it off, and crimped on about 12' of wire so that I could put the controller on the inside and run it on auto mode. 21c is 70f but ther thermostat is off quite a bit. I have to have it at 25c to keep around 70f. Doing it way keeps me from being burned out of the camper. Cheers
Great tip!!!! But when it’s in auto mode does it have to re-ignite periodically or does the flame continuously burn? I’m wondering because of the battery consumption.
So your thermostat is off as well, but in the opposite direction, lol! My 8c is about 80f! Wonder if there is a way to calibrate it? I would hate to damage it as communication directly with Vevor is very hard. Took months for me via email to even get a replacement remote. All that said, I still love my heater. Would buy again for sure and recommend to somewhat "handy" people.
Good stuff! Couple of suggestions that we're using that might help. As you know, these things are just not that quiet. The fan isn't so bad on low, but the pump clicking is annoying. We moved our heater to a folding tire step. This get it off your fender (but still off the ground) and keeps the vibrations off your camper. We also covered the outside of our heater on the end with sound dampening material (Stuff you use to minimize sound in cars and trucks. It's sticky on one side so easy to apply). We can barely hear ours now when it's running.
Have you ran it all night yet? Just wondering if it ran you outta there! Not sure of your cubic feet in the teardrop, but I run one in an old bus and I get way too hot even on the lowest setting(8c). The thermostat is located in the LED screen(the little hole in the lower edge) which does pop off and has a little bit of lead so could easily be mounted inside, but it still overheats my small space. Vevor sent me a free unit because of this malfunction even though I think it's just a faulty thermostat. Don't loose that remote! I had to get a replacement and it wont sync, never did try the wifi/bluetooth phone thing. Also it would never hurt to get a cheap $18 converter from amazon. You never know when your 12v may need to be charged with AC. Just a redundancy. Happy camping!
I have not had a chance to run it all night but based on the tests I had the same concerns about it being overkill. I think it could be great in the teens and single digit temps. I guess we’ll see!
😂 I didn’t even notice the scissor color! lol. I would imagine it is at least weather resistant. I’ve seen other reviews where they are used in light rain without any problems. The beautiful thing about my use case is that sitting on the fender gives it some protection from rain and snow because of the open window. As always, thanks for the comment Sam!
Nice piece of equipment Mike.

Great suggestions, thank you!
Glad to see a new episode, keep em coming!
nice ! if it keeps you warm go for it
Thanks for another good video!
What a great idea , no more buddy heater 😊
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
plenty of ways to plump a 3” hole and fitting to hook the heater hose to without hurting camper value👍 8:40

Great use of that heater. Seems very safe and effective. Is the heater weather proof? Also, very pretty purple scissors, lol 🤠👍

Just so you now an EcoFlow river will run a diesel heater via the 12volt plug
Good to know! Thanks
What would be the difference between that and a generator to run the heater that's in it?
This is quieter and a lot more efficient!
Nice
Where can I get those tires for my camper?
It came with them from the factory. They’re nice!
put you a 200 wt solar panel and hook to your battery 👍
Have seen different diesel heaters and they all had that annoying "tick tick tick" of the fuel pump. I didn't hear it with this one?
It’s there but it isn’t overbearing.
@@NowhereBoundAdventures I like that it's a one piece unit, no separate fuel tank and lines to deal with.
what a great build! I'm a 3 season camper, so its not for me.
Thanks!
