Enjoyed the video and the music. Im so old that i rember when the new bridge was built and there was a small town where the lake is. As a small child i used to go to Negro mountain with my parents and my dad went fishing. Very rustic cabins but good memories. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. One time I did not have the hitch pin in the right slot, pulled off and the camper tongue fell to the ground. That was a B to fix. Now I carry always a little shovel and hydraulic jack. My camper is heavier than yours, I solo and am an ole lady, HA! Sometimes...things happen. Glad you knew how to get out of that situation. Merry Christmas! Have you thought about getting a tire step and putting the diesel heater on it? You could greatly shorten the length of that heating duct.

I thought the point of campers having wheels was to avoid extreme climate issues. Drive to Quartzite like the rest of the nomads.

I never actually put in words what I love about winter camping, but you did. It is the contrast! I love bundling up and taking my dog walking, preferably in the snowy woods. And then I come back, get into my tiny camper and make something warm for both Charlie and myself. There’s something wonderful about being comfortable and looking out a camper window and watching snowy weather. Great video

Did you remove your microwave and install a matching door? In California, I don’t need the diesel heater so I am using a 12V blanket… toastie… when the wind wasn’t trying to flip my unit over last Friday morning.

I love the beauty of the outdoors, but at night I want to be in a good hotel, just saying.

Looks like a real nice setup, I have to admit I am a wimp and 76 so standing outside cooking is past my enjoyment level. I have watched quite a bit of these cold weather campers and all types of heaters. I think that diesel might be the best, but there are some people that prefer the small Canadian built propane heaters that are special mount and very expensive. At my age I wish I still had my old truck camper from 30 years ago, it had a very nice propane furnace and it was very nice and efficient with a thermostat. I was able to do my own repairs of the ice box and anything that would pop up. I lived in the camper in a valley Pahrump Nv and I used an electric radiator that worked very well and safe. All I had to do was put my feet on the floor and turn left and cook my breakfast. I love the dog and wish I was still able to care for one but my knees stop working and it is easier to just feed the cats, I have them trained to show up at breakfast and lunch and dinner, most of the time on time. Of course cold nights they have a heater in the hall and bathroom where they come and go thru the opening under the sink closet. This morning I had a very young what appeared to be blind little guy waiting with the other 5 for breakfast, he was wild and running into the walls and door but finally went out the bathroom door. I hope he comes in at night and eats from the dry food I always have out.

As a lifelong WV Citizen that could be anywhere in our state. Spent many night’s on top mt. To go hunting at break of daylight. A few times we got back in the Tk to sleep if Animals started getting close by. And don’t allowed anyone tell you we don’t have Mt.Lions / Panthers. You don’t see them that often but way too many of us have seen them before.
